1st time I went everything went well, 2nd time around they are playing in my face, so it want be a 3rd time. I’ll go into detail if someone from the office reaches out, but this is unacceptable. It’s going on 4 weeks and my son glass just got shipped out today and I have been calling everyday since 4/2 after dropping them off 3/19/26.

I had the most horrendous experience at 20/20 Eye Specialist. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told to check in and sit back down. The waiting room was completely full, that should've been the first red flag. I sit down and 20 minutes has passed and my name was called. They called me up to fill out some forms... why did they not give me this when I signed in?! I filled it out quickly and returned it back to the desk. 30 minutes has passed and FINALLY my name was called. Did the normal routine check up with the assistant and he dilated my eyes, which they did not tell me they were going to do when I made my appointment, otherwise I would've had my husband with me to drive home. Then I was put into "dilation room" and waited for another 30 minutes. In total, it took me almost 2 hours until I actually saw the doctor. Dr. Watkins was very ignorant and dismissed me of my problems and said that if I wear my glasses I should see better. He originally said that I did not have cataracts. Then he compared his work with the paperwork I had with an optometrist and checked my eyes again and did say I have cataracts. Overall, it felt very rushed, did not listen to my problems and just completely arrogant. I will never step foot in that office again. As I was walking out, a lady who was waiting, she said "did you guys forget about me?". Everyone waited for a LONG time. Not to mention how horrible and dangerous the ride back home was because they failed to mention that they will be dilating my eyes when I made the appointment.

Nice staff, but I don't even understand what the doctor is doing. They didn't even dilate my eyes, didn't use the machines other eye doctors use, it was all rushed, and I left with a prescription that didn't feel right. I was still struggling so hard to see. I had just had a baby, his exam didn't detect that my vision had become much worse, thank god for Visionworks doing a thorough exam the proper way. It makes me feel like the first exam I had with them 2 years ago also left me with the wrong prescription because I haven't seen this well in YEARS. I'm talking a HUGE prescription difference. Dr. Watkins claimed -2.5 in September, it was just determined to ACTUALLY be -4.5!!!!

Can't be trusted! I felt suspicious after Dr. Watkins rushed through my eye exam so I asked for my written prescription and went to get a second exam at America's Best. Their correction for my near-sightedness is different as is the pupillary distance and I have an astigmatism that Watkins did not detect. I also have double vision from a thyroid disorder. Not once since 2019 has Watkins ever tried balancing my prescription to reduce the double vision. The optometrist at America's Best suggested it on the first visit! I didn't even know that was possible, and thanks to them I can now drive again after two years! Not only did Watkins not treat my double-vision, he gave me no indication or hope that I could ever see correctly without surgery. He was perfectly willing to bill my insurance, charge me a deposit for special lenses and let me pay $216 out of pocket for frames at his office that only cost $69 at America's Best. All for a bum prescription that I would not have been able to see with anyway. I won't be back.
