Excellent selection while this exchange doesn’t have a dedicated auto center for purchasing vehicles or furniture. This exchange does offer ordering services for such items like vehicle purchases and large appliance purchases. The partnership with the Home Depot corporation and the army Air Force exchange program is alive and well at this location, just make an inquiry at the customer service helpdesk or ask any friendly exchange associate they will be happy to assist you. Also, MacDill Air Force base main exchange also operates a minimart a full-service gas station right across the street from the main exchange. This exchange also has a mall like atmosphere as most do now these days, which is absolutely great. You no longer have to leave base and go into the city or get a base leave pass just to go shopping for the things you really want for your loved ones and for yourself and you no longer have to only be restricted to ordering online so this is a plus plus plus hopefully the department of war, a.k.a. the department of defense or whatever they’re calling it these days makes life easier for us service members by continuing to offer more products more flexibility, and low low prices. There are still more things to be desired at this location, but I’ve been to other locations on another basis even other branch locations and hands-down the MacDill Air Force Base main exchange location is doing it right still there are things to be desired, but all in all I am highly satisfied with the staff and with the layout of the store and with the improvements underway very good job I mean that and I love that. I am not hounded every two seconds for my ID card just to buy a Gatorade or a picture frame or something simple for a loved one like a refrigerator magnet and much needed items that I need to do my job like uniforms, accessories, tapes, ribbons, and what have you it absolutely nice that this space understands that 100% ID check at the gate means 100% ID check at the gate there is no need to continuously ask service members for their ID card every three seconds. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I understand right now with being in Charlie posture, but once you are on base generally, that means that you went through the proper security channel to get on base otherwise it would be rather quite idiotic for someone trying to gain access especially to MacDill Air Force Base. One of the Air Force has most prestigious protected bases, and then you’d mess up your entire life from that point onward you wouldn’t get a decent job you wouldn’t be able to do much of anything and you will probably be in prison after work for quite some time. People really need to understand Air Force Base and security procedures before thinking they can just willy-nilly come on base and go shopping whenever they do please, you have to meet certain criteria and you have to meet certain categories. There are category levels just because you served does not mean that you were honorably discharged and just because you were currently serving maybe you did something and you have been stripped by the IG office of your shopping privileges while on base people need to understand that it’s a privilege not a right to receive these shopping benefits and it’s also a privilege to be able to gain access onto any military installation, especially MacDill Air Force Base understand your privilege secure your privilege and follow base commander instructions, local command, instructions and guidelines rules and laws applicable to you while on base. If you are a veteran and you are 100% disabled then congratulations you can shop on base if you received a purple heart. Congratulations you can shop on base so let me just put it to you in a nutshell as long as you were honorably discharged, you are good to shop on base. You are good to register your real ID drivers license or identification card to get on base. If you do not have a real ID you can always use another form of US government issued ID federal identification card, such as a transportation worker credential.

Electronics section: ZERO customer service, disorganized merchandise, and employees just collecting a paycheck. Since the shelves were not marked correctly, there were multiple price tags next to the displays, and boxes for items were on different shelves than their displays/prices, I had a question. I saw an associate, walked up and another associate got to her first and they started talking; they knew I was standing there as I was literally standing right next to them looking at them, and for what seemed like an eternity, they just ignored me/blew me off, so I walked away. 35 years of shopping exchanges all over the world and this was a first..I'll just go to Best Buy, thx a lot.

Layout of Exchange is similar to Offutt and Kessler AFBs. Staff super friendly and helpful. Spent way too much on seasonal items and they had all kinds fro candy, perfumes, clothing, very affordable...and everyone so helpful. Items do not include tax for items which is a savings to military members.

I normally have a good experience shopping here, however today was different. Customer service managers could use some training on dealing with customers. Very rude and not helpful. They don’t know their own store policies and will say whatever to rush you and make you go away.
