The doctor is good. The service staff is not. **There are no refunds on your lenses.** They didn't tell me that when I bought the anti-reflective upgrade, which are apparently less quality with Davis Vision insurance. (Even though it was claimed that the lady did. She said all the reception always listens to her say it lol.) It was absolutely not worth it. I brought them back to get them made without it and I was ganged up on by two employees. I wasted $30 that they didn't want to refund me! I tried asking if there were other lens options to choose in place of that "AR" lens choice, but they didn't want to listen to me. It's a place for rich people, and they will treat you so kind at first. It's clearly an act to get your money and then once its bagged, they don't bother to listen or truly help to get you seeing in a comfortable way. I told them 10x what was wrong and they still acted dumb like I was making things up. I'm not going to be gaslit because you are in the industry to serve rich, white people.

I enjoyed coming here for my regular eye check up in getting contacts! They did a more intensive eye exam than I have ever received in my life. Out of everything I was advised to wear sunglasses more (which I should). Loved everyone. Thank you!

I love this place! Dr. Fuemmeler is the best!! She is knowledgeable and kind. Her staff goes out of their way to make the check in process seamless. They have an excellent selection of eyewear and the opticians are knowledgeable and help you navigate your insurance.

Never again! I will be sharing my experience so that others with similar needs (Astigmatism) will pay attention. I went to Dr. Fuemmeler for an eye exam and even though she had excellent bedside manner, her optical services are atrocious, and misleading. First of, they have a zero refund policy, so if they make you the wrong prescription, they will only redo the glasses once, at no cost. After that, you either take the faulty prescription, or pay hundreds more to correct “their” mistake. I was very specific about what I needed my glasses for, which as a librarian, I expressed needing them for read alouds to kids. The doctor prescribed progressive glasses but since I already had an older pair of progressives, I decided against getting progressive glasses again because they literally make your eye sight “progressively” worse over time. So, I asked for a single vision lense with transitionals and paid nearly $500. Only to find out that they weren’t going to work for reading, my mistake. So my only option was to redo the glasses by paying hundreds more, or turn into bifocals and not pay an extra dime. Hard stretching a teacher paycheck these days. So, I ended up with an expensive pair of bifocals that I will never use because they are nearly impossible using for driving due to the fact that it’s a small square on the bottom of the glasses and looks super blurry. The biggest mistake was accepting to get a second pair and go with progressives after all. They said I could get progressives for $160, with zero add-ons. They offered me a budget glasses case with cheaper frames, and I hesitatingly chose a pair. They were supposed to finally make my progressives, and when they were ready, it turns out that they NEVER mentioned that the “traditional”, cheaper progressives are once again a tiny window on the bottom of the lenses that permit me to read and have single vision lense, but was unable to read sideways, the way I read to an audience. Unbelievable! I had already paid $80 and still owed another $80 to get my new progressives. Walked out without glasses as I refuse to pay more for a second pair of glasses that won’t work for what I needed them for (everyday use). Cruel policy and indifference to the needs of paying customers. The first time I’ll admit some fault, but the second time? They failed to explain that their traditional progressives were basically bifocals. Wrong to mislead and overcharge for services not rendered. I literally paid $600 for no glasses at all. They kept my $80 today, and it was their fault not telling me what “traditional” progressives encompassed. They should have given me a refund because the second round wasn’t my fault at all. The optics manager said so herself that they were not in a position to explain fully what traditional progressives were. But because they have a zero refund policy, I found myself once again without glasses or money to get what I needed. Unbelievable. I will now have to pay another optical to make me what I need for everyday glasses. Never again!

I scheduled an appointment for a friend at a different location and the staff was so incredibly nice and helpful in trying to get her in at this location! They managed to fit her in within an hour of her showing up! They totally saved my butt! Just an overall amazing experience with amazing staff and a great doctor.
