I spoke to two different people on the phone and was told both times that they take my insurance. At the appointment, I was probably a third through the eye exam, they then told me that they don’t take my insurance. The staff in Arcadia are nice and it wasn’t their fault because they assumed the insurance was taken care of on the phone. Granted, they should have checked before the appointment started. The general call service for Acuity Eye Group is horrible.

Its a clean and organized place. front receptionist are friendly and greet patient well. I feel that some of the younger techs aren't very personable. They dont introduce them selves. As a fist time patient i already am very nervous about having cataract surgery and i dont know the full extent of why each exam is required . It would be great if they would explain what exactly eye machine is for ..rather than follow me sit here. Follow me sit there... I just feel they can be a little more personable and kind show some empathy..its a very scary thing for some people. Especially the elderly.
Good morning, so far it’s been good, I was a bit disappointed at first because they canceled my appointment a couple of times hours before my appt., after that it’s ok. Getting ready for surgery next month. I like everything now. The real test is coming up. Looking forward to seeing much better without, watery, burning, blurry eyes. Thanks Jim
This was unnecessarily painful and cruel procedure. They expected you to lie still while they stabbed your eye without any concern about comfort or how anxious having needles in your eye would be. There was no need to do this without some thought for pain control. Unnecessarily barbaric, This has been an complete disaster which was supposed to be a simple laser repair. Now on the third procedure each one worse than before and each with less concern about patient comfort and trust. I have zero belief they have any notion how to fix the problem and even less that they care one bit about patient comfort. Sadly disappointed.
Dr Waines is polite, attentive with excellent listening skills. He is very thorough. Dr Waines took extra steps to assure that the infection in my eye wasn’t something else causing the swelling in my eyelid. and ordered additional exams. I was very happy with the service I received at Acuity Optical center.
