This facility is not a suitable place for anyone to visit, and I would like to elaborate on the reasons why. Although there few kind individuals employed there, unfortunately, not everyone adheres to the same values. My most recent visit to this facility occurred in February 2026, prior to my departure. During my visit, I inquired about any outstanding bills or payments and was assured by the receptionist that everything had been settled. Having paid the bill and retained the receipt, I was exercising due diligence in managing my expenses during these economically challenging times, as many individuals are struggling to make ends meet and provide for their families. However, it is unacceptable for a facility to claim that I owe them money when my insurance coverage has taken care of the expenses and I have paid my copayment. Two months later, I received another bill, dated April 2026, which I found perplexing.I have formally notified the facility that I will not make any payments without verification, justification, and supporting proof of the amount they claim I owe regarding the outstanding balance. If they continue to send me bills, I will be compelled to pursue legal action for harassment; this is not a threat, but a guarantee. As a law-abiding taxpayer, I am confident in exercising my right to express my opinions, as protected by the United States Constitution's First Amendment. I am warning others that if they choose to visit this facility, they do so at their own risk. The facility's priorities appear to be focused on financial gain rather than patient care. I will never return to this place again, and I am not hesitant to share my experience. Two months after my initial visit, I received a bill with unsubstantiated claims, which I found to be an attempt to extort money from me as a patient I have written to them, stating that I will not be a victim of their inaccurate billing practices.

The staff are great and efficient. Dr Carl Corrow was informative and thorough. I loved how he educated me on caring for my eyes and listened to my concerns. I will be a patient here forever. You cannot get any better than Advanced Eye care. Their patient centered care is top tier.

Blonde lady at the front desk has a bad attitude. Every single time we go there(my daughter, mom, nephew, and I all are patients there) the lady always tells us that we do not have vision coverage which is not true at all. She does not offer any type of help and just shrugs us off. The only time we ever successfully get checked in is when the very nice Latina woman is there. She alwaaays resolves the issue and takes the time to look up our insurance. We are seriously contemplating switching eye drs offices as it is too much of a headache to have to deal with rescheduling and coming back and forth until someone is up front that knows what they are doing!!

Hostile Front Desk, Defensive Management, & Complete Failure of Patient Care | 0/5 stars: If you are looking for an optometry office in Rhode Island that treats you like a human being who relies on corrective lenses to function, avoid Advanced Eyecare & Associates. This is no longer the community-oriented practice it used to be before the current staff took over. I called regarding a time-sensitive request to transfer my records to an optometrist who actually values my care. What followed was a hostile, toxic game of phone tag with a receptionist named Hailey. After keeping me on a 6-minute hold, Hailey became combative when asked for a time estimate, hung up on me, and then spent the next several minutes picking up and slamming the phone down, breathing into the receiver, and lecturing me that my calls were "interrupting her work." When I physically walked into the office to get my records, Hailey looked me dead in the face, played petty gaslighting games pretending not to know who I was, and then snidely snapped, "Oh, that was you? Yeah, because you kept calling." The rot goes straight to the top. I asked to speak to the manager, Celeste, hoping for accountability. Instead, Celeste conducted our meeting with utter contempt. She didn't even have the professionalism to take me into an actual office; she escorted me into a random, empty optometry room just to hide the situation from the lobby. The moment I tried to explain my perspective as a client, Celeste aggressively interrupted me to tone-police and defend Hailey’s workload, saying, "That's not all they do." Let's be entirely real about the dynamic at play here: as a Black woman dealing with two white women in a medical setting, the bias was glaring. Hailey felt entirely too comfortable projecting her overstimulation and hostility onto a patient, and Celeste’s immediate instinct was to protect her white employee rather than uphold basic patient ethics. Celeste calling Hailey’s behavior "ignorant" was just cheap lip service to keep me quiet. Hailey still has her job, Celeste still has her back, and patients are the ones suffering. Take your business to an office that respects you.

Went to appointment today and the lady with red hair at the front was asking me to provide my insurance card and ID again. I asked you need to have that again, she's like yes. I told her it's going to take me time to find it. Then she started talking about she needed me to provide a good number to reach me at and I was like it's the one on file and then she said well I have to get you to repeat it and then she went on a tangent about I'm not singling you out blah blah blah. so I had to tell her as a person with autism when I ask a question it's a legitimate question. I didnt say it to her, but I'll even make statements when im logically confused. She even had the nerve to say well you didn't ask a question when i made a statement about my number being on file. Then she she started getting mouthy brought up the manger saying, she could get the manager if I need it and I said then go get the manager. Cuz I didn't ask for the manager, she threatened the manager to me. This whole situation sent me into a panic attack while there, so I ended up canceling my visit because my whole interaction with this red headed girl, (I can't remember her name but I know she was a strawberry redhead who worked at the front) was absolutely awful. She made the assumption that I was upset with her because i thought she was judging me for something something. race maybe? I don't know. So she already had a bias on me cuz like I never said anything against her. I'm too afraid to come back; are all the people at the front desk like her?😰😰😰
