I have been going to this clinic for a few years now! I see Dr Robinson for contacts and Glasses, along with therapeutic apts for general eye care. They always get me in on emergency, the ladies that work at the office are very kind. I had some issues with my glasses recently (not their fault due to a manufacturer flaw) and they graciously helped me with that as well. Dr. Robinson is probably the best eye dr I’ve ever gone to. I will continue to go to him as long as I’m in the area.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst eye care doctor in town. His bedside manner is terrible, and he rushes through appointments with no real care or concern for his patients. It feels like the goal is simply to get you in and out as quickly as possible. The staff are also extremely rude and unhelpful. They tried to charge me $1,000 for my 12-year-old’s contact lenses and never explained that switching her to a different brand would cost that much. There was no transparency or effort to help us understand our options through insurance. I will never return to this office and strongly recommend others stay far away. Between the incorrect prescription and the push to charge far more than what insurance covers, it feels more like a money grab than genuine patient care. Unfortunately, both the doctor’s attitude and the behavior of the staff make it clear that patient experience is not a priority here.
Over priced eye wear, staff is non helpful, Told tec like to purchase eye frames ? Around $125. Gave me two too pick from $130 pair of pastic Sally Raphael's. Basically, outdated poorly made bottom of barrel selection. When I asked for my prescription lens script, so I could shop elsewhere, was told they didnt give that out. So you get scammed purchasing their over priced eye wear. Pair azazI got was defective lense looked blurry for them first told lady something wrong why is that not seeing correctly blurry. Sent out took 4 weeks to get same results. Then tech is like well thats your prescription!! Would you like an apt for....eye exam 🤔 no had one. Well thats it!! After 2weeks my pastic frames screw popped out. Couldn't not fix them at office sent out took 2 half weeks for screw! I went with out glasses. And staff cant even say Thank you, have good day, sorry. Totally scam office from eye doctor to rude staff that need to be trained to help customers pick out glasses besides sit there pick out pair no prices on them after 4 pair. ..they make you feel like crap. Aaa this lady going ask me again the price. Wrost experience here. UPDATE My husband was planing glases and said there is a circle and number 22 etched in center of lense I never noticed!! What a mess of an Eye Doctor office
I’ve been to this optical clinic multiple times since moving to Waxahachie because my husband was already a patient there. Between the two of us, we’ve had eye exams and purchased glasses through this office, so we are established customers. Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing, particularly when it comes to basic adjustments. On two separate occasions, I stopped in to have my glasses adjusted. Both times, the first thing the staff said — before even greeting me or asking how they could help — was that if I didn’t purchase the glasses there, they weren’t responsible if they broke. I understand liability policies, but the way this is communicated feels abrupt and unwelcoming rather than professional. Most recently, I visited on February 20th around 4:00 PM (they close at 5:00). The woman (employee) at the desk by the glasses with short dark hair who assisted me appeared visibly irritated from the start. While I was waiting, I could hear employees complaining behind the counter about customers “pouring in” late in the day, including comments like “of course they’re going to come right now.” Hearing staff openly complain about customers in front of other patients is unprofessional and uncomfortable. My glasses were adjusted, but the overall interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism regardless of the time of day or where the glasses were purchased. Because of these repeated experiences, my husband and I will be taking our business elsewhere.
I gave this office a second chance, and this visit confirmed that I won’t be returning. From the start, the front desk staff was unfriendly and made the environment uncomfortable. Once the doctor came in, he immediately began pushing a $1,000 yearly supply of contacts, just like he did during my first visit. I told him multiple times that I only needed my prescriptions and preferred to shop around. Instead of respecting that, he kept repeating that he was “the cheapest around.” He even pulled up Costco and Sam’s Club prices to prove it — only for Costco to be cheaper. At that point he suddenly offered to match the price, which showed he wasn’t actually the cheapest as he was claiming. I understand my insurance benefits very well, and I knew I did not want to spend out of pocket that day. But the appointment felt rushed and pressured, and I ended up paying $77 for one box of contacts. It didn’t hit me until after I left that I should not have been charged at all. When I called back, I was told — for the first time — that in order to use my allowance, they require purchasing 3–4 boxes. This was never mentioned before they charged me, and it’s something any patient should be told upfront. Communication from the staff was consistently poor. When I asked about how I would receive the contacts I had just paid for, I got short, dismissive answers that made me feel like I was doing something wrong just for asking basic questions. After I left I realized that I was never given a copy of my prescriptions, I called back and was told that they couldn’t email them and that I would have to either pick up paper copies or have them shipped. When I went in to pick them up shortly after the clarification phone call, no one greeted me or acknowledged me at all. The silence and lack of professionalism were honestly shocking. Overall, I left feeling pressured, dismissed, and completely unsupported as a patient. There was no transparency, no clear communication, and no respect for my choices or my time.
