* Poor Office Management * The doctors are fine, but the real issue is the customer service and back‑office management. I am a high‑revenue patient due to my condition and insurance, requiring medically necessary custom contact lenses that cost five figures. After my exam, I waited about 45 days with no update, these typically arrive in 1–2 weeks. The staff had no clue about the order, I wasn’t getting callbacks, and explanations kept changing. After escalating to the office manager, Tracy, I learned the lenses had never been ordered by the doctor. They eventually corrected it and expedited delivery. While I understand mistakes happen, this reflected a serious breakdown in process. Tracy told me to let her know if I decide to order glasses. Afterward, I placed an order for prescription lenses using my own frames. The optical tech I worked with was pleasant and helpful, but communication issues continued with Office Management. When I followed up on a potential extended discount with Tracy she left a voicemail that came across as dismissive and unprofessional declining any further discount. Despite that, I proceeded with the order. Two and a half weeks later, I had to call again for a status update, only to find out the lenses had failed quality checks and needed to be remade—adding another delay. The optical tech offered to discuss with Office Management that I decline as my interactions with Office Management have not gone well but welcomed the optical tech to do so on my behalf. Shortly after, the optical tech called back and relay that the Office Manager offered to cancel my lenses, refund the purchase, and return my frames with the suggestion to take my business elsewhere or continue to wait for the lenses to be correctly made. For a practice that markets premium service and quality, the Office Management customer service was disappointing. The issue isn’t clinical care, it’s a lack of accountability, communication, and operational reliability. I would recommend evaluating other options if consistency and customer service are important.

The building was very nice, well maintained, and clean. The staff were incredible! From the optometrist I saw, Dr. Blue, to the staff at the front desk, to the staff that helped me throughout my appointment, the service was incredible. I will most definitely be back!
I had my first-ever eye appointment at Allen Eye and was seen by Dr. Wimbush, and I truly couldn’t have had a better experience. He made me feel so comfortable and seen, especially as someone who’s never been to an eye doctor before. The clinic itself is absolutely stunning. After my exam, I worked with Calvin to pick out my frames, and he was just as wonderful. He was welcoming, incredibly helpful, and took the time to really get to know me—not because it was his job, but because he genuinely cared. I loved getting to visit with him and felt so taken care of from start to finish. Such a great experience all around. Highly recommend.
Dr. Blue and Peter took really good care of me today. This place has alot of tech savvy instruments and they take the time to talk with you about your options. Check them out for all of your optical needs!
Dr. Wimbush is top notch, I would say this was top 5 customer service that I have received in 10 years. The whole staff is amazing and the facility is 1st class.
