I recently had an exceptional experience at Alison Eye Care in Clarkston, MI. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a warm, friendly staff who made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. They truly prioritize their customers' needs and were patient in helping me find the perfect glasses and contacts that best suited my requirements. Their comprehensive eye exams are second to none. The meticulous attention to detail in ensuring my eye health was in the best possible state was impressive. The optometrist took their time to explain each test and made sure I understood the results. This level of personal care and consideration left me feeling confident and well cared for. In summary, Alison Eye Care offers a remarkable blend of professional expertise and genuine customer care. If you're in the Clarkston area and in need of top-notch eye care, I can't recommend them highly enough!
This morning I took my 2 year old in for an eye exam (I confirmed when making the appointment that they offered pediatric exams). The support staff was wonderful. Very understanding of a 2 year olds behavior. Doctor Allison, on the other hand was not equipped to see a 2 year old. After being in the office for 1.5 hours, and waiting for my son’s eyes to dilate, Doctor Allison came in the room to check his eyes again. I set him on my lap, which upset him but I was able to hold him and was preparing for her to examine him when she set her tools down on the counter, and said ‘I’m not playing this game, let me know when he’s ready’ and walked out of the room. I kept him on my lap and waited for 15+ minutes for her to come back in the room. During this time, he alternating between being calm and playing in my lap and making sounds of frustration. She never came back in the room. I finally grabbed my things and told the support staff in the hallway that we did not need to continue the appointment, that I didn’t know where the doctor was and that she had just walked out. Several minutes later the front desk called me to see if my son had calmed down, if we wanted to come back in. I explained that he was calm enough for her to examine him while I was holding him, and that it was very unprofessional of the Doctor to walk out of the room on us.
Very disappointed learning how the doctor treated my 2 year old grandson, who was brought to the clinic for an eye exam by my daughter. She was rude, disrespectful, walked out of the examination room while making a derogatory comment, and never returned. Lacks professionalism and compassion for children and adults alike. Find a different facility.
Very thorough whole body approach to eye care - I learned so much about things I didn’t even know could affect my eyes being dry. Team was extremely kind and knowledgeable.
