Am-Ton Sterling Optical

It was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. I called ahead to schedule an eye exam appointment and was immediately placed on hold for six minutes. The male staff member who answered the phone sounded irritated, as though my call was inconveniencing him. On the day of the exam, the staff became rude and rushed after learning that I did not plan to pick out a frame that day. Despite having an appointment, I waited about two hours. If I could separate my review for Terry, the optometrist, I would give her five stars. She was warm, patient, and thorough, and she performed the exam in a professional manner. The cost of the exam was not disclosed in advance. After the exam, the woman at the reception desk rushed me to pay nearly $100 for a standard exam for both glasses and contact lenses, along with a contact lens sample. After I paid, I asked for a copy of my prescription. The woman refused to provide it and insisted that I return on another date in case I did not like the sample lenses. I had to argue that I paid for the exam and was entitled to receive the results of that exam.

Made an appointment for 2 eye exams for 5:30pm over 2 weeks ago. Today we went in for our appointment and will never be back. This was the worst experience. While we walked around I asked about a pair of glasses that I liked but wanted the clip on sunglass part black and not brown. Was told that they can call the Transit store and that manager would probably order then for me because the manager at the Niagara Falls Blvd location wouldn't. Another patient came in that had an appointment at 6pm and was told it was going to be at least 40 mintues for her appointment. After hearing that and still not being taken care at 6:15 we went to the receptionist and told her we would like to reschedule. Not even an I'm sorry for the wait or anything. It was like they did not care that 2 people walked out and will not be returning. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Was there today to enquire about new glasses, explained my frames, nose piece is broken. The young lady fixed them without even telling me lol. I am so delighted to have glasses that fit,going to be purchase a 2nd pair this week.because I either loose them or break em lol. She was very i informative about my questions,what I am specifically looking for even the frames. Thank Thank so very much

Totally unprofessional. After several tries don’t pickup the call. Changed their office hours but didn’t update on the website. I have took a glass from their pearl street brunch but the power didn’t suite me. I requested them to readjust the power. Its almost 2.5 months I don’t received my glass. I have called them to know the update the status of my glass a lady picked up my call & informed me that they have changed their location they. She is unable to inform me the status of my glass.

I had a fantastic experience at Sterling Optical. The eye exam, contact fitting, and two pairs of glasses were all done thoroughly and at a great price. The staff was outstanding kind, courteous, efficient, and extremely professional. They made the entire process easy and comfortable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality care and great service.
