I am so grateful to have found Dr. Woolsey's office! My child needs a particular type of glasses and after having trouble finding what we needed at multiple other offices, we were welcomed in and shown several options. Staff was warm and welcoming, and made my very shy child comfortable enough to make her own choice in frames! Not only that, they were able to fill the script faster than anywhere else. Highly recommend, for all ages.

Dr. Zurcher is great, my daughter has been going here for years, but the reception staff is the reason I am scoring this review so low. We went in for my daughter’s eye exam last month and decided to do a contact fitting. They didn’t have the higher percentage sample contacts in stock that Dr. Zurcher wanted her to try and he said he would order more in and I could come in to get another sample set with the higher percentage before we put in a full order. He said it would take a couple weeks. I called today realizing I was never contacted and the receptionist said that no she doesn’t get anymore sample contacts and that I would have to order her set instead. I tried to explain the situation and the lady didn’t seem to understand what I was saying, she just said the same thing that I couldn’t get any sample contact. I asked if there was any notes in her chart and she just read me her prescription info. I asked if I could speak with Dr. Zurcher and she said he was busy all day, I asked if I could get a call back tomorrow and she said no he’s always busy. She said she could see if the contact person was available, she put me on hold for 10mins then said I’d get a call back. I said I had a follow up question but she hung up and I couldn’t get through when I attempted to call back. I’m still pending a call back at this time but it’s frustrating that there seems to be a lack in communication between Dr. Zurcher and his front end staff as well as a lack in professionalism. I’ve had issues in the past with the receptionist not being friendly and I’ve let it slide but this situation was the final straw. We live out of town now and I’ve continued to bring her here because we like Dr. Zurcher but it seems that it may be time to look for care elsewhere.

Needed Glasses fast and they are very helpful. I noticed the doctor took his time and they did a much thorough job than I’d ever had before. Really great office and I will be a lifetime customer.

It was my first time coming to AFVC as my previous optometrist did not accept my insurance anymore so I was referred here. They were amazing at being timely, professional and accommodating. They even agreed to start my appointment earlier than scheduled because of a personal matter I had to attend to and I was short on time. The whole staff from the front desk to the doctor were very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. I recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a reputable and well managed optometrist!

Just had a first visit with our new eye doctor and it went very well. The receptionist was friendly. The optometrist tech told me what each machine was measuring and the doctor was a good listener.
