America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My husband is a truck driver and had been having issues with his vision. He went to a private ophthalmologist in our area and a new prescription for specialized glasses was prescribed. The total cost for these new glasses was close to $1,000 because of special lenses he’d needed! We decided to see if they were less expensive at Americas Best! We stopped in at the North Olmsted AB and we are so glad we did! The store was pristine when we entered and we were greeted right away with a smile! Selena Ortiz was the technician who took care of us and she was so kind, professional and patient with all of our questions! She took her time explaining these specific lens and how they function and why they were needed for my husband’s vision, which the ophthalmologist at the private office didn’t even do! She was truly a delight to work with!! And we saved close to $500 by taking the prescription to Americas Best! In the future we’ll be going to them for all of our optical needs! Best pricing and service!! Have no clue why people would pay more for exams and eyewear/contacts elsewhere. $129 for 3 years of exams AND contact fittings!! **Amazing customer care by Ken and Veronica who work the front end. Dr Lai spent 45 minutes with me to make sure contacts were a perfect fit and script was best for my needs. Can’t say enough about this location and the people who work here**. The doctor was very friendly. Most of the staff were friendly as well but some were a little unwelcoming that is part of the reason they are getting 3 stars. The other reason would be me waiting a month to hear back if my glasses were in. Never got a notification or call or anything saying that they received them. Finally I called and they were in. Nice selection of frames, also the prescription is perfect for both my glasses and contacts.

I am so unbelievably irritated and disappointed with the location. I have been coming here for years and today my appointment...that I'm STILL sitting at waiting...was scheduled for 430. I am still here and still waiting and watching other patients go in that have just walked in. I would have never scheduled an appointment if I knew I'd not be seen until after 5:30pm. There was no point in an appointment at all. No updates or anything from staff either. Very disappointed

Don't waste your time here. I'm not sure why they scheduled appointments for us, they're currently 2 hours behind. No other customers in the store and a full staff, yet nobody offered us any assistance at all in finding new frames. I've never had a worse experience at an eyeglass store...
