I have been a customer of America’s Best for years, and I want to make it clear that I have generally liked the company and the services I’ve received in the past. However, after my recent experience, I will not be returning to this location on Sawmill Rd Dublin Oh because of the way I was treated by the optometrist DJ who was there. I had an eye exam and was given a prescription that resulted in glasses that were blurry. When I got a second opinion, the other optometrist questioned how the prescription numbers were reached because they did not match my previous prescriptions from my years of visits. This made me feel that something was not handled correctly. The optometrist by the name of DJ NEVER measured for my PD. So not sure where the PD came from because I always get glasses frames from other places. And Americas best will only include a PD if you bought frames from them. That’s where the problem Came in. I brought my own frames because I don’t get frames from americas best. The PD was not measured and what I was told by from that man was that vision changed from march 2026 to June 2026. What was most upsetting was how the situation was handled when I came in to address the issue and request a refund. I informed them I was coming in, but the optometrist contacted the police before I arrived. As a Black customer, I felt this response was unnecessary, intimidating, and made me feel that I was treated differently. I felt this interaction reflected racial bias and was deeply upsetting. I still appreciate America’s Best as a company, but because of this specific optometrist’s actions and the way this situation was handled, I will not be returning to this location. I expected professionalism, respect, and a willingness to resolve a customer concern, and unfortunately that is not what I experienced.
