I've been an americas best customer for over 10 years but today's experience at this location made it clear that I need to find elsewhere. Initially we were greeted and checked in, told we could browse while we waited and expected our appointment to start late as they typically do. Fine and dandy. Was called for the pre-test and off the bat the lady with blonde hair and black and grey cabbages tattooed along her right arm and hand had an attitude and seemed impatient. Once brought back to the room it was clear she was not going to be pleasant. I am nearsighted, have a high prescription and have been wearing glasses for about 25 years so of course, reading the letter without my glasses was hard. When I told her I couldn't read the letters her response was "you can't see anything?" As if she didn't believe me and thought it was crazy someone with my prescription couldn't read small letters. When doing the machine tests, I was having trouble with the machine that flashes lights and you push the button, I've never had an issue with this before. It was as if sometimes the light would be noticeable while the rest did not blink at all. My husband, who had an appointment right after me, said he was having trouble as well. She started to get snippy and making me feel as if I was wasting her time, saying things like "I don't know what else to do" when I'm pretty sure it was a mechanical error. When doing the air puff test she simultaneously puffed my eyes at least 5-6 times to the point it was feeling like abuse. I know that test and I get it that I blink but in all my 25 years, the assistant has always been polite by explaining that I blinked, gave me a moment the tried again once my anticipation wore off. Not as if an air soft rifle was shooting off into my eyeball with a hair trigger. My husband had the same experience with this part. The lady in the other exam room was absolutely pleasant and accommodating however, I could not complete the exam because the telesoc wanted me to retake the light test which went exactly the same as before. We ended up leaving after being there for almost 2 hours and did not get our exams completed. We will not be returning and sadly we saw glasses we liked. Such a disappointing experience, a decade of good service gone down the drain because one bad apple spoiled the bunch.

I have wasted about 2 hours of my time and $250 to end up with no contacts and no valid prescription. I initially went in and had my eye exam with no issues. At the end of the appointment they informed me that their system was giving an error when trying to bill my insurance, and I had no choice but to pay out of pocket and submit for reimbursement. If you've ever worked with UHC, you'll know I'm never getting that money back. Would have been nice to know in advance, especially since I gave them my insurance info weeks before my appointment. Because of my insurance issue, I didn't purchase any contacts at that point. I ended up returning a while later to try and order the contacts they had given me a trial for. I was then informed that my prescription was never finalized, and I was apparently supposed to have called and scheduled a follow up appointment to get my prescription finalized (something that was not mentioned to me during/after my appointment, and which has never been asked of me by literally any other office). When I inquired about what this follow up appointment entailed, I was treated like an idiot for not intuiting the details there. All I wanted to know was whether this was something I was going to be charged for. When we went to actually schedule this appointment, I found out they were booking a month out. I was also told that because I didn't save any of my trial contacts (a thing I did not know I needed to do), I might need to book another follow up after my follow up. Again I was treated like an idiot for not intuiting that I needed to set aside a pair of contacts for a follow up. At this point, it's going to be easier to just book another exam with another provider, especially since it could be over a month before I get a prescription, and I couldn't even use my insurance to begin with.

I went into the store today to pick up my glasses and had a very disappointing experience. When I arrived, I spoke with a blonde woman wearing glasses who was working on the sales floor. She initially seemed pleasant, and I explained that I had a question about my insurance and why my lenses were not covered. She invited my husband and me to sit at her desk while she reviewed our insurance information. However, the conversation quickly became uncomfortable. When we tried to ask questions and understand the coverage, she became argumentative, raised her voice, and was rude toward both of us. We were not trying to argue—we simply wanted clarification regarding our insurance benefits. I even explained that we were only seeking understanding, but her attitude continued to be hostile and dismissive. The interaction became so unpleasant that I chose to leave the store because I felt attacked for asking a simple question. Customer service representatives should be willing to answer questions respectfully and professionally. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. Based on this interaction, I will not be returning to this store as long as this employee remains there, and I cannot recommend this location to others.

Came in for a routine eye exam and to pick out some new glasses. They had such cool technology that made the exam speedy-quick and accurate. I was helped by Christina and she was so sweet and personable. I love my glasses; they're stylish and affordable! 10/10 would recommend!

When I arrived to this place I was optimistic about my experience. That was until I met with the most rude woman. She was a larger blonde woman with glasses possibly named Christina not sure, she was rude to me and my grandmother with her tone and have she spoke to me. She was said to a Hispanic woman who has yet to even speak “if you need a translator they need to go in with you” the woman hadn’t even spoke yet and she was assuming she didn’t know English. When I went for my pre exam there was a younger man with long hair and he was very unprofessional. He started calling me “home girl” which made me very uncomfortable. I said I have never had an eye exam done so I’m not sure what to do he stopped and looked at me with digust and said “you’ve never had an eye exam” he was looking at me with shame and said “aren’t you 20, how have you never had an eye exam” and just kept looking at me like I’m stupid. I’m not sure why it’s normalized for someone to talk to any other person that way. When I went if for the actual eye exam the guy doing it was very kind and nice, he made me feel validated with what I was feeling so I have no complaints on him. I think there needs to be some evaluation on the staff here and how they treat people.
