Ascent Eye Care

We are visiting Salida and I developed an eye issue requiring a professional diagnosis. From the first phone call everyone was most helpful and accommodating. During my appointment that same same day, Kiva was a delightful lady who took preliminary information for my appointment with OD Stephanie Melzer. Stephanie has outstanding “bedside manner” , is a thorough professional and is patient to explain her diagnosis and recommendation. Our entire experience with the ASCENT Eye Care staff was excellent. I have been spoiled for over 20 years by our hometown eye care staff and it is refreshing to find the same high level of service in Salida. I highly recommend the ASCENT Eye Care staff!

I am not from Colorado, just here on vacation. Ascent Eye Care staff gave me an emergency appointment on same day notice. Dr Chariton gave me a thorough exam and was caring and reassuring. He diagnosed my problem and prescribed medication that hopefully will correct it. I have another appointment tomorrow afternoon for him to check the progress of the treatment. He said if it didn’t work, he would make an appointment for me to see a corneal specialist in Colorado Springs. I am extremely impressed with Dr Chariton and his staff.
