The doctor is professional and great. The customer service is poor. I call it reluctant customer service. Every time I go in to try to handle something I’m left feeling as though I’m dumb and don’t understand. I’d love to hear them say something like “let’s try to fix this and do what we can so that you are happy”.
I took a client in today and these people were the RUDEST I have ever seen in my professional career. They looked right at my client and kept talking about their personal life issues. We stood there for at least 9 minutes and I mean no one said anything to her or me. She was so upset and decided to leave. I then called the office and the lady still act as if she did not care. I will not be suggesting this place to clients or anyone else for that matter.
Dr. Vanderhoef has taken care of my vision since 2019 with courtesy and professionalism! He has helped with optical as well as medical needs and I highly recommend him! I understand the office has recently been acquired by Athens Vision Centers but Dr. Vanderhoef and the best employees are remaining on staff for the foreseeable future, which is great! Don’t be afraid of some negative comments over the past year about poor front desk staff as it appears those issues have been resolved. I highly recommend!
Dr. Kevin is amazing with my kids! He always explains the entire examine and results to me as well as the kids in terms they can understand. His staff is amazing as well they always have patience with the kids every step of the way no matter how long they take to choose a frame or how many questions they ask during the tests! We'll definitely continue to go to Stephens County Eye Clinic and will always recommend them when someone needs an eye appointment.
I have always experienced the best care here. The staff is friendly and helpful. They truly do care about you and it shows. Great with kids. Both my kids love coming here. I have purchased discount glasses from online but they did not last as long or as well. The lenses scratched more easily and the frames were more flimsy. If you are looking for quality and care and glasses this is the place to come.
