I had a wonderful first experience with Dr. Marcos T. Doxanas. He made me feel very comfortable and took his time explaining everything clearly. He showed me the images of the back of my eyes and explained that there were no signs of diabetic eye disease, which gave me peace of mind. He also explained that I have a small cataract, but it is not serious enough to need removal at this time. Dr. Doxanas was patient, caring, professional, and willing to answer my questions. I never felt rushed during my appointment. I am very pleased with the care I received and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate ophthalmologist.

I like seeing Dr. Defay. Dr. Defay was personable and thorough. The assistant also took his time to conduct evaluations and ask questions. I’m confident in the treatment or I wouldn’t travel as far as I do to see them. However, why did I give them a 4 star and not a 5 star is the simple, yet concerning fact, that they had me down as a “new patient” with no history of seeing the doctor beforehand. So I would need these tests to establish a baseline. I insisted to the assistant that I had seen Dr. Defay over a year ago and even recall having my pupils dilated. They asked again for me to confirm my birthdate and he followed up with the office staff. The end result was that they had me under same name & birthdate under a previous address from a year ago. When I made this appointment and entered my new permanent address, they assumed and put me as a brand new patient. This raises some concern as to why no one verified records beforehand.
I really like Dr. DeFay. This was my second annual appointment. He followed up on any changes from last year, gave recommendations including some foods to add that help eye health (shout out to bell peppers!) and does a very thorough exam for eye health, not just here’s your prescription. Lots of educational information available in the office. The whole staff was respectful and kind. I need masking due to an immune condition and they pleasantly said yes to protect me and wore masks. Will definitely be back next year!
I don’t do surveys they are self serving for the agency, they often report likes, without providing a denominator. The service was very vanilla, I don’t think the staff enjoys their jobs. Not really interested in me as a patient.
I was very happy with my visit today. First time staff was friendly could smile 😃 a little more but friendly. The dr was great took his time spoke in normal language and not all that medical talk you could understand 😀 what he was telling you. Felt good not having to ask him to explain. Definitely like him hope they get a good one when he retires. Definitely will be going back
