Blackburn Eye Clinic

To say this place is outstanding doesnt even close to sum it up. Everybody is so nice here, from the secretary to the lady that orders glasses, billing, the guy that fixes glasses to the optometrist Dr. Blackburn himself. 1st of all, do you know how hard it is to find a place that takes Nebraska medicaid?!? Like IMPOSSIBLE! These guys take it! I had 1 kind of bad experience with the front desk getting irritated with me because ive never had private insurance and I had a bunch of questions, so understandable. But theyve seen my child when she was like 2 or 3 to my teens, myself and my elderly mother in law. They see us around town and seriously know and remember us by name! They dont have the biggest selection of glasses but what they do have are an amazing top of the line selection. They warranty the lens for $10! And theyve fixed my glasses my dog chewed on without charge! They worked with ke on payments and when life happens, as it does, they were totally understanding! Honestly my FAVORITE pair of glasses! They even have the blue light filter for my migraines (and yes! It works) scratch resistant and anti-reflection and it was very affordable! They are the cutest frames ever! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! We get sooo many compliments on our Eyewear!

Used this clinic for a couple of years never had a problem until today. Took in my 4 children for an annual exam and Dr. Blackburn felt that it was within his professional relm to raise his voice to my children twice. They were not screaming, yelling or jumping on things simply talking to each other and myself wanting to know when it was their turn. Absolutely DISGUSTING behavior by the doctor a simple apology which was offered only because I had to step between (literally)him and my children. We will not continue with this office. Again been here multiple times over the years first time we have an issue and it's not a small one.

They do such a great job. Everyone is so helpful & sweet. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Called this place yesterday and was like talking to a wooden post. They said they would call me back, nothing. Drove there today and went in. A woman asked me if I needed help and I told her yes looking to get my prescription filled with new lens. She looked at me with a blank look on her face then I added that my insurance would cover up too $300. Again she looked at me blank for a few seconds and said okay. Just like yesterday give them the information and they said well or just look at me like I'm dumb like today. Hard to talk to person when they just look at you with a blank look. Will not go back, to bad cause we was thinking about moving to Sidney since my caregiver is from Sidney. They just lost two individuals that wear glasses and we will not be back. Why go into a place of business that just looks at you with a blank look on their face or did not even ask for my insurance card to check my insurance.Just stand there and look dumb. Do not have time telling a person something then they just stand there. They need to learn how to communicate with people instead of looking dumb that's why I will not go back. Very disappointed drove over a hour and basically got looked down on. Yesterday asked them if they was still at 836 18th st and never got a answer. Today I found out they moved to another location so that's another reason why not going back.

Friendly, professional and professional! Dr. Blackburn provides a thorough exam, and answers all questions and concerns completely. I highly recommend this clinic.
