Update: 1 year later I drove further and went back to myeyedr. in Murrysville and I didn't have the issues I had at this place at all and I didn't need progressives or anything out of the ordinary, my eye exam went normal, they didn't push me into sales like a car salesman,and I got normal awesome clear glasses. Steer clear of here! I feel hustled good game y'all, I'm not coming back. Fooled me I learned my lesson no more glasses here. My eyes were dilated before my vision test so they were screwed up during it, of course my eyes wouldn't see normal with burning eye drops in them, I could not focus letters very well they were fuzzy I didn't think about it while testing because I was so focused on trying to see that I didn't realize till after the fact how bad dilated eyes may effect testing I figured you do it after a test for a prescription so people can read and accurately chose their lenses Whelp my prescription is very wrong. I went to get my glasses today and I couldn't believe how bad they were. My eyes feel crossed , I feel like my eyes spread apart and cross while wearing them. I told them these are off they will not take that for an answer they told me to take them home after me repeatedly saying they are off they are not right it hurts. They said to wear them for a week and get used to them, I am 41 years old and been wearing glasses a pretty long time and never have experienced this with a new pair I do know how to get used to glasses. Usually when putting on a new pair it's like yaay woow oh boy I can see so nice, but not this time. I cannot even wear them for 5 whole minutes without tearing up it's painful. They had me sit for 7 to 10 minutes to try and get used to them looking far and all over I still said they aren't right but still sent me on my way to get "used" to these terrible eye killers. My insurance only allows once per year. I told them my old current prescription looks way better I have no problems with it. I know I'm not Doctor but I know my own body and especially my eyes and these are off. I'm just keeping my old glasses and taking the loss you live and learn do not go here. Eye glasses are more of a business now and not medical anymore I feel like if you force a bad prescription on a patient their eyes will be worse so you can push them bifocals on people sooner. Beware of the bifocal pushing. The other thing is I cannot afford extra things or designer stuff nothing extra sorry I will gladly own up to being a cheap customer because I'm trying to save money for life if I gotta say no to things it's my wallet not anyone elses I been this way all my life I have to be. All n all I don't feel helped out just pretty disappointed. Yes they wanted me to make another appointment but also to continue wearing these for a week I'm not ruining my eyes, I don't feel like I can trust going here again so good luck. I'm just taking the loss till next year.
