Went there for my daughter’s eyeglasses as well as mine. My insurance company requires me to pay for hardware out of pocket and then file a claim to get reimbursed. Due to Broome’s contract with my insurance provider, they are required to file it for me and my insurance provider will not accept the claim from me. I went in person to their office twice to explain the situation and also called twice (my insurance provider rep also called their office to try and get them to file my claim but they refused) and each time the lady who handles it stated she would get back to me and she never has. This has been going on since August 2025. When I first got my daughter’s glasses, I explained I would be reimbursed from my insurance company when I submit receipts along with a claim form. No one said anything about any possible issues with my reimbursement. The lady whom I have been speaking with was condescending as if I didn’t matter and she made no effort to help get this resolved and kept saying she would look into it and get back with me and never did. I paid Broome in full and I just want the reimbursement I am due back from my insurance provider. Never again will I use them. I am out $500 that I am entitled to for reimbursement from my carrier and they cannot fill out a simple form to get me reimbursed. They have their money, paid in full by me and obviously do not care about me as a customer. The other staff members were friendly and I had a good experience with them. They do not carry a wide selection of eyeglasses and they are overpriced on frames, even the less popular or unheard of brands. I was trying to support a local business but I will be going back to using one of the larger optical retail stores.

Haven’t had the best experiences here, so I’ll be going back to my old eye doctor, who is well worth the longer drive. I wanted to shop for new glasses, and the worker told me I can’t look around because “she knows the full inventory” so she just had me tell her what I like and she will go pull glasses for me to try. They also do not allow you to take photos in the glasses to show other people. I found some I liked and had to wait about a week for my insurance to get figured out, only to find out they sold the pair I wanted and didn’t have any more. I decided to go with Warby Parker which I’ve had great experiences with for the past 10 years. I also have chronic blepharitis and was recommended by the eye doctor to try their “eye spa” after Xdemvy was unsuccessful. The front desk worker said it begins in June, so I called multiple times leading up to June to see if I could sign up. They assured me they would call me and let me know when it is starting. I never got a call. The communication with patients is very much lacking based on what I’ve heard from others and based on my personal experience. I’m not calling them because I don’t want to give them my business at this point. They also have lots of unnecessary charges. They charge you $65 for a contact fitting, even though I’ve used the same contacts for years. As I stated above, I also have chronic blepharitis which I’ve dealt with since 2017. The doctor would look at my eyes and tell me “well I don’t see anything, but...” I have mild issues, but still enough to warrant a doctor’s visit. I can look into my iPhone camera and see the flare up, but a doctor with a magnifying glass and strong light can’t see it? I felt dismissed sometimes by that. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I came to this location because it was recommended to me. I came here in November for a new pair of glasses and eye exam. It seemed okay coming in here, it seemed like a very expensive place. The first thing I noticed was when I was filling out my paperwork , if you would like to get your prescription from them, they charge you. I believe it was $25 or $35 to get it. Fast forward to me picking out a pair of frames. I wanted to take a photo in a pair of frames just to see if I liked how I looked. The worker that was assisting me told my partner and I that we were not allowed to take any photos or videos. that was the first time I’ve ever been in a Glasses Place where they said that. It made me uncomfortable, but I was like okay I guess that’s their rules. I had chose my pair of glasses and I wanted to use my VSP. My VSP was super awesome and super helpful. My issue was when I was picking out my glasses. I told the employee that I wanted to get transition lenses she said okay but I noticed she did not ask me what color transitions did I want which I thought was weird. Fast forward to me picking up my frames. I noticed within that week that there was no transitions applied to my frames. I tested it out in the sunlight and noticed they did not change so I took another pair of my glasses and put them in the sunlight to see and they activated so I could tell something was wrong with a new pair of frames I got. When I had called to see if they could fix my frames, the employee had told me there was not enough sunny days out for my Transitions to work or be activated. So I had to take them back and they were saying that they were gonna have them sent out to have that applied to it. They were saying that the VSP did not apply that to my Glasses that it was on them. Instead of taking accountability that there was a mistake/error that was made, and that was why I did not get the transition lenses. When I had went back to get my lenses fixed the employee, I asked to get the transitions put onto it and She said okay so I told her the color transition I wanted. I didn’t feel welcomed being in here because the employee that helped me out the first time I noticed she kept staring at me the entire time I was there, but she did not say hello or anything just kept watching. so to me it showed that there was a mistake on her part that was made because she didn’t bother to say hello to me instead just kept watching me while I was being assisted by another coworker. Thankfully, a week or two later I was able to pick up my frames. I decided I will not come back here again. It was way too expensive. Also feeling like you’re a bother when you’re going somewhere to spend money is not something I’m okay with. I would’ve maybe gave it another shot if they took accountability for not putting the transitions on my glasses but when I heard them blaming VSP saying that it was VSP‘s fault that they weren’t correct I just knew this place wasn’t the right place for me to come back to.
I recently brought my son to Dr. Steele for an eye exam, and I’m so grateful for the amazing care she provided! As a parent, I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Steele’s warmth and patience instantly put us both at ease. She connected with my son, explaining everything in a fun, clear way that made him feel comfortable and engaged. Her thorough exam and thoughtful answers to my questions showed her expertise and genuine care. The office felt welcoming, and the whole visit was smooth and stress-free. Dr. Steele is truly exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone needing top-notch eye care!
