We got my child's eye exam and glasses from Cascade Eye Care, and the staff was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating to his needs. :) They explained what might be needed in the future in a way that was understandable, and didn't push us on anything we might not be ready for. Luckily his insurance covered both the exam and the hardware, so it was awesome to be able to get it all done at one place. They made sure that before we left with his new glasses, he felt comfortable in them and they fit perfectly. He's so happy with his frames and being able to see the vibrancy of the world again for the first time in years. Thank you, Cascade Eye Care staff!

I love the eye care staff. During my recent cataract surgery checks and rechecks, I spent a lot of time there! However, the optical area where glasses are ordered and fitted was not very good at all. The gal was insistent that I wear the 'new' glasses for a week so my eyes could get used to them, after I said "I can't see with these". Not a week later and I returned because I just wasted 280.00?? Then she found that she had given my my old glasses that were sent in to get the new lenses in the old frames. I was told that's my fault as I could have bought new frames. She also trashed one of the Dr's, and when i said 'these are very narrow sight area" she said "that's what your insurance would pay on". Yes, but it would have been excellent to let me decide. And, it seems that's my problem, still. Have to have the prescription re done by someone else to be able to see both close up and distance!! That's a lot of money to throw away! Good medical eye care. The glasses and lens area is no good.
I have been going here since I was a child. At my appointment today, I was told there would either be an added charge for a different type of photo, or my eyes would need to be dilated. Finding this out at the appointment itself was upsetting, especially because I was not financially prepared for an additional charge and did not feel it would be safe for me to drive afterward with dilated eyes. What made the experience worse was how the situation was handled. Another employee became involved while overhearing the conversation, and I felt dismissed and spoken to defensively. The first employee didn’t appear defensive. I was told they had left me a voicemail about the change, but I never received one, and the interaction left me feeling as though I was being treated like I was dishonest. As someone diagnosed with autism, unexpected changes and confrontational communication can be extremely overwhelming. I ended up having a panic attack after the appointment. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not be returning.
When I called to make an appointment they could get me in the next week. I talked to a real person. My doctor and the staff were great. Everyone was nice and the place is clean. I didn’t wait long in the waiting room.
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Not Recommended I had an extremely negative experience at this location. The receptionist who attended to me was incredibly rude, displayed racist attitudes, and behaved in a completely unacceptable manner. Despite driving all the way from St. Helens and arriving on time for my appointment, she intentionally delayed the paperwork process and ultimately refused to give me my appointment. It was a complete waste of time and a humiliating experience. I definitely do not recommend this establishment.
