This is, without a doubt, the single worst experience I have ever had seeking medical treatment. The nurse and Dr. Willer are a terrifying combination of total carelessness and gross incompetence. I went in with a painful corneal abrasion. The nurse took me back and immediately attempted to pull the contact eye lense bandage off my eye without washing her hands or putting on gloves. When I asked if we could wait for the ophthalmologist to assess it first, she grunted at me, claiming she couldn’t administer numbing drops until the bandage was removed. (Irony of ironies: later on, she gave me numbing drops with the bandage still on- but she missed) When Dr. Willer came in, he demanded she give me a numbing drop. She squeezed the bottle, but carelessly missed my eye entirely. Dr. Willer then rushed to shove my head into the slit lamp to examine me. He grabbed a Q-tip and started aggressively prodding my eye. When I recoiled from the severe pain, he snidely remarked that he could perform cataract surgery on me right now—insinuating my eye was numb. I pleaded with him, explaining that the drop had missed. Ignoring my distress, he repeatedly barked, "Put your head back!" as he frantically squirted multiple drops into my eye. He then scraped a dry Q-tip across the underside of my upper eyelid and directly over my damaged cornea. His final verdict? "Nothing we can do, you have to go to OHSU." The entire "encounter" lasted under three minutes. Before leaving, I asked if the abrasion looked infected. He said yes—yet offered zero prescriptions for antibiotics and zero follow-up care instructions. These people shouldn't be working in the medical field, let alone delicate eyes. Do not go here. Do not do it. Save yourself the agony, wait for an appointment at OHSU, or go literally anywhere else.

They can't produce an invoice 3 weeks after the appointment to file my insurance claim. Long time progressive lens wearer and tried this place as a new patient, and I can't even read with my new glasses, but they need to be worn for 2 weeks regardless before they will accept a problem with them.
This place offers truly outstanding customer service. A representative by the name of Angelique (or Angelica?-- I'm so sorry I can't remember for sure) went way above and beyond to help my elderly mother and I, who were in for help with some badly damaged frames, yesterday. As long as my parents continue to live in the area, Cascade will be their one and only eye care center, for sure. Thank you, Cascade Eye Center.
Writing this review only after sharing feedback with Cascade Eye Center and still not getting any resolution. I got 3 pairs of glasses that I literally could not see out of. Staff made me feel like it was my fault and I was a total inconvenience. I got excuses at every turn including that I told them I wore bifocals which I absolutely never had and never did. One front desk staff person is terribly rude. I witnessed her turn away an elderly man needing a nose piece adjusted (30 seconds?) because they were going to lunch. Spoke to him like he was a child. Eye rolls and whispering galore among staff. They have a major customer service and training issue that needs to be addressed, not make excuses for. Guess I'll donate my useless glasses to a charity since this was "the last time they'd order new lenses for me", as if it were a favor! So disappointing...
Dr. John Willard is a awesome eye doctor. He checked my eyes for any signs of serious damage or vision difficulties to them because of my diabetes . He also did my, & my husbands cataract eye surgeries so we both were able to see so much better. But that was only to be able to see far away, so we had to have new great glasses, so we could really see near & fine print to be able to read small print. I had to get use to moving my arm further back to see clearly. I was not use to that, compared to my seeing only near to me before my surgery on my eyes. It took some getting use to, & adjustments.
