My mom had her first cataract surgery today at Aran Eye Associates, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Dr. Aran and the entire team provided exceptional care, professionalism, and compassion, making her feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. A special thank you to Yeniskey Quijano, the Surgical Coordinator, who was absolutely amazing. She guided us every step of the way, answered all our questions, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. We are also grateful to Fanny at the front desk, Glisbeth, the nurses, and all the staff members who were so kind, attentive, and welcoming. They are very professional and organized and treat you like family. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure my mom received excellent care. We truly appreciate the dedication and warmth shown by the entire team and highly recommend Aran Eye Associates to anyone considering cataract surgery or eye care services. Thank you for making such an important day a positive and reassuring experience. Will be scheduling the surgery for her other eye soon.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Aran Eye Associates, specifically the Coral Gables location. My initial appointment was scheduled at the Cutler Bay office, where I was seen, but I was later informed that they did not have the proper equipment to perform my eye procedure. As a result, I had to reschedule and wait nearly two months for an appointment at the Coral Gables office. I took time off work for this rescheduled appointment on January 13th at 1:30 PM and arrived 15 minutes early. Prior to the visit, I received a text message to verify my insurance, which showed as active and confirmed. Upon arrival, I provided my information to the medical assistant and waited approximately 45 minutes, only to be told that my insurance was suddenly showing as inactive. I immediately contacted my insurance company, resolved the issue within about 10 minutes, and attempted to email the verification information to the office so they could proceed. Despite this, I was informed that the doctor could not wait any longer and that I would need to reschedule yet again. The only available appointments were several months out. This was a complete waste of my time and workday. The lack of organization, poor communication, and unwillingness to accommodate a quickly resolved issue were extremely unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking reliable and efficient care
91 year old waited for 2 hours before his daughter realized he was on wrong floor whrn she came to pick him up. the 2nd floor surgery has staff that didn't bother to ask him anything for 2 hours!! this is totally unacceptable and as a result his 1 hour typical appointment turned into 4 hours. incredible
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this eye doctor's office. The front desk staff were often loud, dismissive, and seemed uninterested in helping patients. Basic customer service and communication appeared to be lacking throughout my interactions. One of the most frustrating issues was the complete lack of follow-up. I was scheduled for surgery, yet calls were not returned, questions went unanswered, and there was little to no communication about what to expect before the procedure. Trying to reach the office by phone was nearly impossible, as calls frequently went unanswered. What was particularly concerning was that several other patients shared similar experiences and indicated that this is simply how the office operates. Many expressed discomfort with the level of communication and customer service but felt they had no choice but to tolerate it in order to receive care. Hearing the same concerns from multiple patients suggested that these issues may not be isolated incidents. I was also concerned by the way some elderly patients appeared to be treated. Medical offices should be places where patients, especially seniors, feel respected, informed, and cared for. Unfortunately, that was not the impression I received. Patients deserve clear communication, responsiveness, professionalism, and compassionate treatment—especially when facing a medical procedure. Based on my experience and the concerns expressed by other patients, this office fell far short of those expectations.
they schedule multiple people at one time and are horribly slow, ignore people that have been waiting for over an hour. i got here at 8am right when they opened and they said they had to verify my insurance. i wait for an hour before finally getting up and asking them if it’s been approved. the woman just replied “no” and didn’t even check. THEN finally called someone about it. why was i waiting ??? i was the first one on the sign in sheet. we are people with lives and can’t waste a morning sitting in a waiting room. get it together
