If I could give 0 stars, I would. I called over a month ago to get appointments for my husband and myself and was told our names were the first on the waitlist and we would receive calls to get those appointments scheduled. I have had to call the office multiple times to check on this and was told today that they never intended to call me, amd now the soonest appointment is going to be out another month. Also, the hours posted are incorrect. They are not open on Saturdays, except for rare occasions if the doctor decides at the last minute that he wants to work Saturday.

After my eye exam I opted to use my own personal frame for my new lens, I get a call informing me the lab broke my frame. I was informed by the lab that I should have signed a waiver saying that there was no liability if I use my own frame. No such waiver was presented to me. Cheeha took no responsibility in their neglect to inform of the risk. The response was, "Someone else helped you, they work in another location" update cuz ts been over a month, still no glasses. This "place " offered to replace frame on 1/17/2025. Still no glasses. My next step is to contact Medicare to let them no they've paid for something I've never received
The folks at Cheaha Eye Associates were a life saver. My daughter was at a Summer camp just outside Talladega and she forgot to pack her daily contacts. She is literally blind as a bat without them. I had first called the other eye clinic in town and they said they couldn't help without an eye exam (absolutely worthless). All my daughter needed was a few pairs of samples to help her see for a few days. I was about to drive 11 hours round trip to deliver my daughter's contacts until I reached Cheaha Eye Associates. I primarily spoke with Vanessa at Cheaha and she was a pleasure to deal with. She completely understood the predicament my daughter was in, and she was kind enough to find a sample pair that matched my daughter's prescription. Our eye doctor simply faxed Cheaha my daughter's prescription for confirmation, and my daughter was able to pick up the contacts that afternoon. It's very encouraging to know that there are still kind folks in the world who go out of their way to help when there is no incentive to do so. I would highly recommend Cheaha Eye Associates based on their kindness alone.
Had to put a star, but would like to put none. Awful experience when I was there, and now 4 years later, I request a copy of my records and they refused. Say I have to contact my old insurance company and have them request the records. HIPPA law states that any physician, regardless of practice must release a patient's records to them if requested, unless the person has an underlying condition that would endanger the patient by providing them. Simple as that.
Not a good place to get an eye exam… They gave me a very poor quality printed document to sign ( could read it at all ).. I asked the lady at the front desk if it was a joke. She said ( it’s the best we can do ) …. I grabbed my things and left ..
