I had to come to Christus St. Elizabeth after experiencing severe hemorrhaging following surgery, and from the moment I arrived, the staff took my situation seriously. I was taken straight back without having to sit and wait, which meant so much given how much I was bleeding. Nurse Grant was absolutely amazing. He was compassionate, attentive, and made me feel calm during a very scary situation. Rod Singleton also did an incredible job. He acted quickly to get the bleeding under control, thoroughly addressed all of my concerns, and monitored me to make sure the issue was truly resolved so I wouldn’t have to return for the same problem. The team even took the time to properly reapply my surgical dressing before I left. Everyone treated me with kindness, urgency, and professionalism. When you’re scared and vulnerable, that level of care makes all the difference. I have several other staff members I’d like to recognize as well, and I’ll update this review once I find the paper with their names. Thank you to the entire team at Christus St. Elizabeth for taking such great care of me during a frightening emergency. I will always be grateful for the compassion and excellent care I received.

On February 19, 2025, I lost my precious mother. Below I have included screenshots of the letter that I mailed to the St. Elizabeth board, the St. Elizabeth patient advocate, and the Texas Medical Board. Letters were mailed on June 2, 2026. I have heard back from the TMB, but not a word from the hospital. I had hoped to hear back from them, but it has been utter silence, which is further proof of their hospital being run as a business rather than a facility committed to patient care. St. E—don’t bother with your copy and paste platitudinous response of, “We take pride in providing excellent and compassionate care, and will be sharing your comments with our team.” I have an infinite number of words I could use to describe our experience there, but “excellent” and “compassionate” don’t make the list. If I could've given zero stars, I would've. My goal is for other families to not experience the apathy and impatience that we did. I'd also highly encourage people to drive past Beaumont for their care, and proceed to Houston. The court of public opinion is a powerful tool, and I hope to see numbers dwindle after our story circulates. Lastly-- You’ll notice that I have redacted the names of staff. I'm not looking to ruin anyone's life. But I do want them to think twice about the "care" they provide to their patients. However, names were included in the letters I mailed.
I would like to give a shout out to 2 phenomenal nurses that work on the 4th floor. One of our daytime nurses was Kay and one of our night time at nurses was Ms. Melinda, we were in room 409....... These two nurses went above and beyond for my sister while we stayed there from Wednesday to Sunday. My sister and I are very appreciative of these two wonderful ladies they are the absolute definition of what I caretaker means!!!!!! I hope this message reaches them and they know how absolutely wonderful they are! Thank you again for such great care ladies!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My dad was recently hospitalized unexpectedly for a serious health concern. Every single staff person we encountered was nothing but kind and caring. His nurse (Rachel from floor 5) was amazing. She took the best care of him. When I was worried, she took her time to explain everything to me and allowed me to ask questions. She even called the doctor in to come talk and explain things to us in more detail. Dr. Muhammad was also excellent. He had great bedside manner and also took great care of my dad. I wasn’t there at night, but my dad spoke super highly of his night nurse, Troy, as well. We are so thankful for them all. Overall, we had the best experience in a very scary situation, and we will definitely choose Christus in the future.
I just had my second baby here. Doctors and nurses are absolutely wonderful. My biggest complaint is the ROOMS. How are they going to put a post partum momma is such a small room? I had a c section (13 days ago), and I couldn’t believe my eyes. Idk if it’s just c section moms since we don’t labor in the room? If planned. But when I say small, I mean SMALL. My poor husband couldn’t fit on the couch. I could basically reach and touch him from my hospital bed and I could touch the wall on the other side. The baby bassinet barely fit in the room anywhere. When baby nurse and my nurse were in the room, there was zero room for movement. Much less visitors. So if you’re planning to have a baby here, do a tour first maybe and see if that’s something that would bother you. We were so uncomfortable and definitely needed more space. My mom came up and one of the first things she said “wow this is small!” It was wild lol.
