I have been bringing my son here for years to see Dr. Choo and Ann Marie for ENT and audiology services. Always had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, we live far away and I scheduled with a different audiologist, Maddie. First, during the appointment she reprogrammed his aids and one would not work after and had to be sent in for repair, my son was frustrated but it was ok. Asked if we wanted to get new ones, but his current aids were still on warranty, and the new hearing aid would be the exact model he currently has. I declined which was fine. Then we get a bill for $1270. Got and EOB from insurance, she used the wrong code and made the visit a hearing aid check the primary diagnosis instead of the hearing loss as primary. She just stated it was correct and won’t do anything. The funny thing is this happened a couple years ago and they fixed it with no issues. I sent my prior claims and showed the discrepancies, as well as was 3ways with my husband and insurance, where they admitted to seeing the issue. Billing customer service is the worst! Never once got a call back!!! Wishing I didn’t have to escalate this but I am a momma that will fight for her kid! Who does this to children with disabilities???

HUGE FYI for all the parents out there that have insurance with Specialist Copayments with United Healthcare. This location bills any office visit with a doctor as Outpatient Hospital Services which affects deductibles and nobody will tell you. From what I understand all their locations bill that way. I called billing specifically before the visit and they told me that if insurance has a certain copay amount for a specialist then that will be the amount we will have to pay which is absolutely not the case. Deductibles apply to all their doctor visits.
I truly had a terrible experience with Dr. Reeves and this facility. I brought my daughter in for a serious vaginal infection, and after waiting hours for what was supposed to be an emergency visit, Dr. Reeves rushed in, never introduced himself, and made no effort to make my daughter feel safe or comfortable. The exam turned into holding her down while she screamed, which was extremely traumatic. Another doctor even walked in and asked if he needed help, but Dr. Reeves then left and never returned. I overheard nurses saying, “They left forever ago,” while I was still waiting for discharge papers. When I asked questions, staff lied and told me Dr. Reeves was “out of the area,” only for him to suddenly show up and confront me in front of the entire hospital. This was unprofessional, distressing, and unacceptable care. My daughter’s condition now requires months of estrogen treatment with NO explanation and yet we were treated with complete disregard and dishonesty. The experience caused me so much stress that I had a panic attack after leaving. We will never return.
Currently feeling like I am being SCAMMED by billing, so don’t go here if you don’t want surprise bills! They put an office inside a hospital, so that when you sit down and spend 15 minutes filling out questionnaires they can charge you a large bill for “GOING TO THE HOSPITAL”. Ridiculous!!
I visited with my daughter after she cut her fingers, and the response from the front desk was very disappointing. The staff informed us that the emergency department would not open until 6:00 and did not offer any assistance or even help to clean her bleeding wound. We then went to the Kroger Clinic in Mason, where the nurse practitioners immediately cleaned her wound and advised us to go to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Liberty Township. When someone arrives with an emergency, it is the basic responsibility of healthcare staff to show concern and provide at least initial support rather than turning them away due to timing.
