The doctor that took my exam after I told him I needed the prescription to order glasses on the Internet would not give me the proper prescription. I am a senior citizen. My understanding is South Carolina. It is the law and you are required to dispense prescription when asked by a patient. All he did was raise and changed one thing and not give me a prescription I could use to order online. He just showed the change in one eye and I was supposed to be able to read that and figure out how to order online. No way avoid these people. All they care about is money. Had the nerve to say we’re gonna do everything we can to make sure your insurance pays the most. What baloney Medicare only pays a certain amount. I had to pay the rest and as usual, I expected this. But it wasn’t enough money for this doctor, please do yourself a favor and find a better place.

I have seen Dr. Carla Blankenship. She was both thorough and informative in her examination of my eyes. She oversaw my pre and post operative care after my cataract surgery. I would highly recommend her and her office as they are all very friendly and caring. Whether you need new eyeglasses or contacts or more in depth care you will not be disappointed. The office has been recently remodeled for an even more efficient and comfortable atmosphere.

Why have a place for your preferred name on your paperwork if no one will use the preferred name? My glasses did not come with anything that I asked and paid for, such as transition and glare protection. I couldn’t get anyone to return my call with these complaints and cannot return my glasses. Terrible experience and I won’t be going back

Dr. Blankenship is a wonderful doctor! Honest, straightforward, quick but not rushed, and very professional. I highly Recommend Coastal Vision Center. Will bring my husband and family here too. My primary Dr. John Rathbun suggested her and now i can see why, no pun intended. 😁 she's terrific and really cares about her patients!
