The team is amazing, super professional and friendly. Dr. Frank is fantastic, highly skilled, and very easy to talk with. He performed cataract surgery on my husband's eyes with great success and helped me find a solution for dry-eye disease that I'd struggled with for many years. My eyesight has actually improved since being in his care! I am very grateful!!

I highly recommend Dr. Jacobs for cataract surgery. Just went in for my 2 yr check and my eyesight 20/20 plus I chose the type of surgery so I don’t even need reading glasses anymore either. I have a few minor floaters I notice when I drive, but I knew the risks and well worth a few occasional floaters. I had them prior to the surgery. I feel so confident having him as my doctor. He’s also is so kind and has many great reviews other than mine. Highly recommend him.
Unfortunately, I had a very unhelpful first visit today. I have been experiencing pain and dryness in my eyes for months. Recently it's been unbearable so I made an appointment to find out more. I walked out of the office today with no clear answers or explanation. I was not given a diagnosis and asked the doctor several times his clinical impression/what was causing my symptoms without a clear answer. The eye exam felt cursory -I was hoping to clarify if I had MGD from my visit, if my meibomiam glands were blocked or damaged. They were not looked at. I asked several types of ways what could be causing this? Age, hormones, my contacts etc and never got a clear answer. Unfortunately, today was a complete waste of my time and money, I was given a sample of very small eye drops to try with a prescription. Apparently the drops are over $1000 a bottle without insurance. I asked the dr if these drops would be something I would need to take forever because again I got no answers as to what was causing my symptoms or a treatment plan. He sort of shrugged. If the doctor was unsure I would have really appreciated a referral for someone more familiar with these issues. Extremely disappointing. Edit to address their response - I actually have contacted the office several times and left several detailed messages.
Questionable billing. Inaccurate records. Silence when challenged. I had a procedure to treat a stye on my eyelid here, and although Dr. Okafor’s work was generally good, a visible mark still remains. The office contacted me and scheduled a follow-up to check whether there was still a blockage in my eyelid or whether the procedure needed to be repeated. The doctor spent approximately two minutes with me and simply advised warm compresses. The appointment was billed as a separate office visit. When I questioned the bill, a staff member told me the doctor’s note described the visit as being for “dry eye.”!!! I had not reported dry-eye symptoms or requested treatment for that condition. I requested a review of the documentation and billing, called repeatedly, and left voicemails for both an assistant and the office manager. Weeks later, no one has returned my calls.
I debated whether to post this review, but I think others deserve to know in case they have a similar experience. On March 4, 2026, I had an appointment with Dr. Jonathan Volkin for a routine yearly eye exam. When he asked why I was there and I told him it was a standard annual exam, his demeanor shifted; As if he was either disappointed or uncertain how to proceed from that point forward. The exam that followed lasted approximately five minutes total. He began by reviewing the preliminary tests already completed by his assistant, then moved on to the light examination — during which he held the light in each eye noticeably longer than necessary. That was the extent of it. No vision exam was conducted and no prescription was assessed. He then left the room, apparently considering himself done. For context: I have been seeing eye doctors since I was five years old due to poor eyesight and astigmatism. So, I am well familiar with how these appointments are supposed to go. What occurred during this visit was not a complete eye exam by any standard. On my way out, a staff member at the desk near the exit noticed there was no vision script on file and asked whether my full exam had been completed. I told her I wasn’t sure as the doctor had simply left after the light test. She apologized, acknowledged his behavior was unprofessional, and went to ask him to finish the exam. Rather than return himself, he sent his assistant to complete it. To be clear: the support staff, nurses and assistants were working hard and handled an uncomfortable situation with professionalism. This review is solely about Dr. Volkin’s conduct. I was charged $255 for this visit. The level of care provided did not reflect that cost, and his conduct was unacceptable.
