Efficient service, excellent staff, most pretentious doctor I've ever interacted with in any field. After conferring with family about my appointment in which I was spoken to like a dog, I was informed Dr. Korenfeld once said to my aunt in an eye exam: "Do not speak unless spoken to. I am the one who talks here." That's pretty much a great summary of my visit too. You can get just as good of health service from another eye doctor anywhere in town, without getting spoken down to for your entire visit from the doctor. Help staff were awesome and kudos to them for dealing with such a demeaning superior.

I was reminded to schedule my yearly eye exam. I called and also explained that I was experiencing new symptoms. I was experiencing increased floaters and it would affect my vision for quite some time each morning. More than what i thought normal dry eye would cause. Because of this, my appointment was moved up sooner. Despite that, the visit was handled as a routine exam. Most of the time was spent on standard testing with staff, and my symptoms were folded into a general dry eye category. Although my eyes were dilated, the doctor’s exam felt very brief and my concerns were not meaningfully addressed. I was given a generic dry eye handout without discussion. I was also told that anything further would “cost more money,” which was concerning given the nature of my symptoms. The visit then shifted to a glasses prescription, even though that was not my primary concern. Within a month, after continued symptoms, I was evaluated by multiple providers in an ER setting, including a retinal specialist, and two retinal tears were identified. I was also told these required a careful and thorough examination to detect. I understand that some conditions can develop over time. However, I specifically reported new symptoms in advance, and I do not feel they were handled with the level of attention they warranted. When Dr.Kornfeld handed me a generic dry eye fact sheet and made me feel totally dismissed and stupid for voicing my concerns. I wont be going back. If only for the way dr. Kornfeld treats his patients. Maybe he's done this to long and needs a break. Treating people with respect and kindness doesn't need a doctors degree. I think, had the doctor taken the time to listen to me, instead of shuffling me from room to room, he might have realized there was more than dry eye going on. His office is intriguing and he has lots of stories to tell you about himself. To bad that doesnt help your 👀. The young pretty girls in his office were very friendly. But can't be that experienced just given their ages. (20's) Maybe a new communication system to actually listen to your patients would inporve your services.
Very professional, super nice and friendly. Highly recommend and I'm switching to this place for my eye care. Elenore (sp) is knowledgeable and worked so well with my mother. Dr Korenfeld was great with my mother and the most knowledgeable eye Dr she has ever been to. Highly recommend.
Dr. Korenfeld and his staff are professional and courteous. They are focused on your eye health and are thorough with both the exam and communicating results. If you need new lenses or want new frames, the optician is very knowledgeable and strives to keep the cost manageable.
It was somewhat comforting that in some places they didn’t have the air conditioning on. I have aphasia, which can make communication difficult, but I noticed that yesterday the temperature reached 97 degrees. I’m concerned about all of us needing to lose weight, which is why I mentioned it. The place felt like a sauna, and although they lowered the price, it’s important to consider that stroke patients, those who’ve had a heart attack, elderly individuals, and others may have different sensitivities. Some get cold easily, while others can overheat. Despite these issues, I still want to give a five-star rating. It might be helpful to add curtains or other coverings, and if possible, having air conditioning would make a significant difference in making everyone more comfortable.
