Costco Optical

I had a GREAT experience at Costco Optical in Clearwater. Needed a pair of distance glasses and brought in my eye prescription and my own frames. Optician was very accommodating and professional, explaining the process and total costs for the order. They do charge a fee for your own frames, but very reasonable. Also the cost was approximately more than half less than going to a “boutique” optical shop, and quite frankly, in my opinion, with the same quality and craftsmanship. Optician took the time to answer all my questions, fit the glasses and was very friendly and professional and order was done before the scheduled pick up time by about 3 days. If you need quality glasses at a great price and great service, give Costco a chance. I will be going back again, no doubt. Thanks Costco!!

I bought a pair of prescription readers and haven't had them a month and they're already scratched up. And I take good care of my glasses. The readers I have gotten from Amazon lasted so much longer before getting scratched up. And they're 5 pair for 15.00. I paid 70 at Costco with insurance. Such a ripoff. Do not recommend. Not even going to call them because they won't do anything about it. All about money now a days. 😢

Wow, I am so pleased with the outstanding customer service, friendliness and competence I have found in my local Costco Vision Center! Sure, we expect good deal$ rom Costco, and that expectation was also fulfilled. I do want to recognize one outstanding employee, Carly! She goes beyond meeting requirements and delivers excellence! Turns out that she has actually worked for Costco since 2003 (?!) and still greets everyone with a smile and quality service! Hooray for Carly!!

Unprofessional and rude. Renee and Kathy treated me as if I was bother. I had questions and they were not only vague with the answers but when I was trying to send them my prescription and having issues with them receiving the email, I quote, “ Well I know more.” When I told her it was sent from my end and I wasn’t having service issues. When asking if she ( Renee) could help me adjust the current ones I have she glances at me and says “ they look fine.” When I handed them to her she had a very annoyed sigh and roll of her eyes. The situation was not only unpleasant but also showed a clear lack of respect and consideration for customers. 0/5 stars for both lady’s present.

I was helped by Eduardo at the Clearwater Costco optical department and he was just very helpful and then called me the next day to follow up. Maybe he is expected to do this but his help seemed to me very professional and beyond. He’s been at Costco 28 years and I think Costco and its customers should be happy to have had him for so long.
