Have been seeing the independent optometrist since I was a kid. She is very kind, will answer all your questions, and wants the best for your eyes. Costco's own frame selection is a little limited at this location, but the prices are competitive. Costco staff will help you fit your frames (depending on the type you pick), and Gary who used to work there was especially amazing. My only wish is that they didn't move to the new policy which prevents you from getting replacement lenses if you have the frames for over a year. I understand if they are worn, but not if you take care of them. Highly recommend them as an option overall.

I went today to pick up my glasses that I had ordered two weeks ago. When I picked them up, there was some chips on the bottom right corner of the glasses, Maria was helpful but as she went to go ask John the supervisor what to do he just said send them back. It’ll be another two weeks with an attitude. I had purchased my glasses with John two weeks prior as I sat there he was very cold was not helpful. I shrugged it off, chalked it up to him having a bad day. But today I go back and he has the same bad attitude, I don’t believe that this is just a one time thing I believe he is very disgruntled in his position and probably needs to find work elsewhere. He just kept saying have a nice day sir, as I replied I hope you do as well as it seems you need it more then I. Now my Optometrist there is wonderful and I will keep seeing her but purchase my glasses elsewhere. Buyers beware as if you need quality glasses go elsewhere. Hopefully they can get John training a vacation.
I wanted to give 5 stars to Sophie at the optical counter. She helped me order my glasses and fit them when they came in. She is kind, professional, patient, and a pleasure to talk to.
I had an eye exam done some weeks ago. Dr. Tracey Janet Scully was thorough and friendly. She took the time to explain everything to me and to understand my need. The prescription was spot on. Thank you.
I’ve been using Costco optical for years. You cannot beat the price. The Altamont Springs optical is very thorough, very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. If you aren’t satisfied they work to help figure out the problem. . I had a pair of glasses that I was very unsatisfied with and I finally took them back again ( even though they were past the expiration date)and though I was a difficult customer, the manager Dave, adjusted them so that I could finally use them. I am very pleased that my 3 year old $250.00 glasses that I had thrown in the drawer, are finally wearable😊.
