Costco Optical

I visited the optometrist at this Costco and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The optometrist clinic is independent of Costco but overall the staff was great, I would recommend them. As per the staff at the optical department, Nick helped me pick out two frames and I walked out happy and satisfied with the customer service experience. He explained everything to me and went out of his way to walk me through his personal glasses experience which helped me feel more comfortable overall. Thank you so much for your help, Nick! I can’t wait to receive my glasses when they’re ready for pick up :)

⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) If you’re looking for an optical department that makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing the staff simply by existing, this is the place for you. I came in expecting basic customer service, but apparently that was asking too much. The staff seemed far more interested in acting annoyed than actually helping customers. Simple questions were met with curt responses, eye rolls, and an attitude that suggested they would rather be anywhere else. It’s impressive, really. Costco is known for great value and customer service, yet this optical department has somehow found a way to make customers feel unwelcome while they’re spending money. The glasses may help improve your vision, but they won’t help you understand why the staff feels the need to be so rude. Hopefully management takes a closer look at how customers are being treated. Until then, if you enjoy being spoken to like you’re a burden, you’ll have a wonderful experience.

The staff were unhelpful. I stopped by to ask a question about the exams, but they were not willing to help. I’m glad I realized this before using their services!

How bad can it be at the optical center when i genuinely love Costco. I have gotten glasses here for over 10 years. Everyone has been courteous and knowledgeable and nice. Well, until the day I had a brief encounter with DAVID. Rude. Plain rude. Horrible listening skill. I had to end our conversation in less than 1 minute. Yes. That bad. I ended up having to ask another person to help me. Jen, and she was amazing. Today, I brought the glasses back for a brief adjustment. And guess what, another customer had the same issue with DAVID. And I believe she will be talking to the manager about his attitude also. Please Costco. Don’t let that one guy lower your overall 5 stars review. Manage him. Manage his attitude and his listening skill.

the ladies here were professional, kind, patient, efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. I felt like I was in good hands!
