Costco Optical

I went Thursday May 9th 2024 around 1ish pm to pick up my glasses. There was this lady at the cashier (dark hair) who had the worst attitude I’ve seen. I said hello and my name and why I’m here, she said nothing at all. Finally I told her can I get my glasses? she reached for them and said “is that it” you’re all set. Weirdest and worst encounter I’ve had at Costco… the actual workers inside the optical department have been great so I feel so bad leaving this review but that lady had a serious attitude…

I called to place an order for contacts. Was told that I cannot place an order for contacts over the phone and that I needed to come into the store in order to do this. I asked if they had considered adjusting this due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was told NO. I could place the order online, but would be unable to use my vision insurance that way. Extremely disappointed in this level of service.

My MD sat on my glasses, both frames popped out and the joint was bent. Vickie at Costo Eyecare N. Riverside, fixed them as best possible, but still bent. She found me new frames for purchase. Vickie was terrific. Thank you. Bill H.
