I would like to file a complaint about GRETCHEN, the Membership Supervisor. It is embarrassing for the store that a Membership Supervisor does not know how to do her job. Someone in a supervisory position should be knowledgeable and able to help customers efficiently. Every time I come in with a problem and she is the one helping me, it turns into a very frustrating experience. She doesn't seem to know how to do her job. She spends up to an hour trying to fix a simple issue, but she is usually unable to solve it. After keeping customers waiting for a long time, she eventually calls someone else, most often a male colleague, who resolves the exact same problem in less than a minute! This happens every single time I deal with her. It is unacceptable that customers have to waste so much time because she is not properly trained. In addition, she is often rude and not very polite when speaking to customers. She also frequently coughs directly in customers' faces without covering her mouth, which is very unprofessional and concerning. I ask management to address this issue by providing her with proper training or replacing her with someone who is qualified for the position. Customers should not have to spend an hour waiting for a problem that can be be solved in one minute.

I want to celebrate the audiologist Wendy at this location. She literally changed my life in fitting me with hearing aids for mild hearing loss and tinnitus. She was extraordinarily helpful, friendly, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about the state of the art in hearing aid technology and how to customize it optimally for me. This was my first experience and she dealt with my bewilderment, apprehension, and curiosity (I am a physician) with such skillfulness. Her "ear-side manner was among the most comfortable of any healthcare professional I have ever encountered. Going forward, I think of her as MY audiologist. She's an incredible asset to COSTCO, I will be referring many patients and friends to her.
I like this Costco. Even when it's busy, they are able to move customers thru pretty quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'd like to give a shout out to one of the cashier staff. I think her name is Maybel. My wife has dementia and I was trying to get her to move to the right side of the belt, but she wouldn't let go of the cart. Maybel stepped in and said it was ok. She smiled at her and encouraged that it was ok to stay with the cart and that they would take care of her. I was really impressed. Thank you Costco for having a wonderful staff who can see past the items on the belt and see people!
Costco's Optical was truly amazing. Rita did my eye exam and she was delightful! Lovely person did everything nice and fast. Plus she has a nice seance of humor. Bonus was that she also speaks Russian so communicating with her was very easy for me. Don't worry her English is also very good.
I have been an executive member at Costco for years and before that a gold star member. 14 years at least. I visit this location pretty much weekly and always bring my small children. Today my three year old urgently had to use the bathroom. When I became an executive member they told me I could continue to use my gold star card without problems so I have been, again for years. I use the early hours and have scanned no problem. Today I RAN to the return desk which was closest to the bathroom when I was stopped by Justin at the front door. Ok cool, I know I need to explain. I told him my son who was oohing and ahung needed to urgently use the bathroom. Mind you it was 9:50. He literally yelled at me saying if I wasn’t an executive member I wasn’t welcome in. He demanded to see my card. I explained to him the situation and that I would happily come back to scan but he really needed to go. He continued to raise his voice and demand I go to customer service to talk with them. He decided to tell me a story about another woman who said the same thing and didn’t really go to the bathroom. First of all I don’t care about some random woman and secondly it’s now 5 mins before everyone can get it. It’s costco, it’s not that serious, and also a toddler needs the bathroom. Stop wasting my time. I decided to turn around and go scan on the other side. Again, I got in no problem because I was an executive member. I get him to the bathroom but by that time he had peed his pants. He was so embarrassed and my other son who is five was crying saying he thought the police were coming to take me away because that man was being mean.
