I recently had my eyes checked and received a retina scan and got fitted for contact lenses at this office. It was a wonderful experience. All the staff there made it fun for me. The whole experience was 4 different office visits over a several week period. Each time I left, I felt better than when I came in. I don’t do many reviews, but I was sitting home thinking about it and wanted to share my experience.

Myself and my family use this eye care center. I’ve never had any problems with people being rude or short tempered. We’ve had long wait times but were met by friendly faces who have been helpful several time with repairs and reorders. For us they have some of the best frames for the best deal. My partner even brought in lenses that came out of some warped frames and within a few days they had the lenses in new frames! Of course we had to pay for the frames, products and service cost money but we were grateful to have them back so quick! We continue to be happy customers at this location.
After trying another large national retailer for lenses and having many issues with their lenses and frames I chose to try Costco. I wish I would have listened to others who told me how great they were. I had extremely good help picking out my frames. The input I got for the lenses was absolutely outstanding. After receiving my new pair of glasses I was immediately impressed on how clear everything was after wearing the horrible lenses I got from the other big chain for over a year. After my insurance I only paid $15. The other place after insurance I paid over a couple hundred dollars. Basically Costco's retail price. Huge savings! Fantastic quality on their product and excellent customer service.
I was able to make an appointment very quickly. Both doctors our family has seen were very thorough, explained everything and made sure we understood everything. The rest of the staff were helpful and kind. Totally recommend.
I state the facts and you decide: 1) On July 10th, 2024 I had an appointment with the optometrist at 5pm. They did an eye exam, I paid $200, and they told me that they would order a pair of trial contacts. They told me that I would need to call to see if they are ready to come pick them up. 2) On July 26th, 2024 at 4:01pm I called them. They said apparently, they forgot to put my order in and I would need to call again. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and without complaining I agreed to wait for them to do their job. 3) On August 9th, 2024 at 3:18pm I called them again. The person who picked up said they can't find my order in the system. This person put me on hold to go ask Costco's vision center to see if they can find my order. After I was on hold for a while, they come back and say they still can't find my order in the system and this person doesn't know what happened. I asked them: "Ok, what am I supposed to do? What's the next step?" This person says: "I don't know." I say:" What would you do if you were me?" This person says:" I understand your frustration." Again, this person doesn't say what I need to do. After repeating "I understand your frustration." sentence a couple of times, this person says that "We have complications." I responded that the word "complications" is used for surgeries not for an order. She said "Sir, you are being inappropriate." I did not use any bad words and she kept repeating that. She said a manager would contact me and hung up. One more time, I did not use a bad word. I didn't disrespect her. Noone has called me. I am with absolute confidence saying here that if she says I was inappropriate she is lying and I told her that "I didn't use a bad word and you are lying." That was the end of the conversation. 4) I have not been contacted. I paid $200 a month ago and they didn't order the trial contacts. I moved to Bellevue on August 1st and now I have to drive to Gig Harbor because obviously they did not do their job. This person also says they wouldn't send the contacts to Costco at Kirkland either and I would have to drive to Gig Harbor, WA for the contacts that they have not ordered after a month. After reading this and I guarantee that they were all facts (You can see my name here), what adjective would you come up for Costco's optometrist's office in Gig Harbor? How would you feel if they didn't order your trial contacts for a month and when you ask them to explain, they tell you that "Sir, you are being inappropriate."? Thanks for reading, Behrang Update: They finally contacted me and said they just ordered it on August 9th, 2024 (Literally a month after the appointment). They said they were gonna send it to Costco, Kirkland (somehow that's possible as opposed to what she said on the phone) and did not offer any refund or apology for the woman's behavior who called me "inappropriate" and one more time, I emphasize that she was lying. This was the last time I visited the vision center at Costco, Gig Harbor and I don't recommend it.
