Ken is truly a gem! I sat on my glasses and the lens was popping out. I was lucky to have Ken work on them. Turned out to be a tricky repair that he handled like a champ with good humor. While I was waiting, I watched the rest of the team interacting with other customers. It looks like they are all as dedicated and kind as Ken. The frame selection was also fantastic. I'm picky and found more than a couple options that I'd choose if I was due for a new pair right now. Recommend highly!

This incident happened over a year ago, but I’m still bitter about it and it’s made me think twice about doing business with at least this Costco optical in the future. I had just ordered new glasses from them, and when I got them, I had forgotten to specify that I wanted to do an edge polish, which is a very standard procedure and especially crucial for higher prescriptions like mine because otherwise there will be a clear ring around the frames of your glasses that can totally throw off the entire appearance. But no biggie. I figured I could just go in and request an edge polish. No harm done. Tell me how I went in, very pleasant, and simply asked, “Can I do an edge polish for these glasses?” and the hipster girl at the counter immediately treated me like I was a problem. The correct response should’ve been, “If that’s what you want, absolutely!” Instead, this girl instantly goes on the defense and says, “I mean, I don’t see any problem with these. There wouldn’t be any point since I can’t even tell a difference” when there was a GLARING difference between the original frames I picked out and the ones I had in my hands. It basically looked like I had white-framed glasses, they were that thick and noticeable. I was taken aback by this, because I didn’t expect her to argue? So I tried to gently argue my case, showing her on the frames that there was a clear difference and it’s a pretty common procedure to get an edge polishing. She still wasn’t budging. Like, she just flat-out wasn’t going to do it. So naturally, I was getting frustrated with getting nowhere with her and I flat-out said, “Okay, well, if you’re not going to do anything, then I want a refund,” and this then sparked the ENTIRE optical staff to come over and cause a fuss, attempting to gaslight me into believing that there was nothing wrong with them (when there clearly was), treating me like I was a “Karen” because I was the one causing the issue. The kicker was that the hipster girl literally said to me in such a slow, condescending way, “I’ve told you what your options are…” …NO, YOU DIDN’T. I walked in with a very basic request and you immediately refused. You didn’t provide ANY options to me. They finally, fiiiinally fulfilled my request to do an edge polish, but only after the entire staff got involved and pretty much executed a public shaming, perhaps out of loyalty for their fellow coworker? Even though she was in the wrong? And to think, this could have ALL been avoided if the girl had simply said, “Sure, I’ll fulfill this request for you!” That’s literally all that needed to be done, but she instead decided to escalate it into something bigger than it needed to be. I don’t know if this girl still works here, but I can’t stand her. She was so stuck up and rude. To this day if I walk into this Costco, I telepathically flip them the bird in my head because that experience was so god-awful and ridiculous. **Also their glasses are cheap anyway. That same pair of glasses keeps getting unscrewed at the arms and I’ve had to go in multiple times to get it fixed.

The true test of customer focus is when there's a problem. I've purchased glasses from Covington Costco Optical many times with no issues. This time there were. It was irritating. However, Tracey was communicative and persistent in getting it fixed. Talk is cheap, but you kept at it until it was right - good job!

I am very satisfied with Costco’s optical department. All of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help with questions or eyeglass adjustments. I saw Dr. Natalie Lam for my eye exam and she was delightful and had a great sense of humor. She explained in details that I could understand about my prescription change. You can’t beat the price, quality and service!

Went there to get my first pair of progressive glasses today. Of course you cannot say no to their decent price at Costco, But I wanted to point out their great customer service, Laand Katherine have been wonderful and super helpful. Highly recommended to anyone who need glasses.
