Custom Eyes

Such a wonderful experience here! The space itself is warm and elevated, and they even welcomed our little pup inside since we had just come from the vet next door, which we really appreciated. Christina was incredibly patient with all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable throughout the visit. The best part, though, was Dr. Damani. You can truly tell how much she cares about her patients. My husband said this was the most informative eye exam he’s ever had and felt like he genuinely understood the health of his eyes afterward. We also appreciate how intentional their frame selection is, along with how much customization they offer online. This place feels so much more personal and educational than a typical optical office. So happy we found them, highly recommend! 10/10

It is always a pleasure to visit Custom Eyes Pearland. I am always greeted with a smile and the personnel always address me by my name, which makes me feel valued as a customer. Dr Damani is extremely knowledgeable and always gives me advice that is to my advantage thank you customize Pearland for being awesome! Sirena and the entire staff is AMAZING ❤️

The doctors will definitely take care of you and the staff is nice. However, every single time I’ve come to this location, I have been subjected to almost a 45 minute or hour wait time when I have a scheduled appointment. I understand that things happen and appointments get pushed back, but this should not be occurring every single time I come in for an appointment. I would appreciate a call from the clinic letting me know that my appointment may have to get pushed back. It is unprofessional to keep patients waiting for over an hour for an appointment that was scheduled. But if a patient is late, or misses an appointment — they’re subjected to a charge. In addition, I had been prescribed an eye ointment by the doctor and the receiptonist forgot to give it to me. When I called over the phone to see if they could send it to my pharmacy, the receiptionist told me they usually do not do that (which is completely fine), but that she would call my pharmacy and try to get the prescription in regardless. However, they did not do so, and subsequently failed to tell me whether the pharmacy allowed it or not. I would have appreciated a call back letting me know whether or not the pharmacy accepted it instead of just silence. I also don’t understand why sending an electronic prescription to the pharmacy is not possible, it’s inefficient to make the patient go to the pharmacy, give the prescription, and then make them have to come back to actually pick it up. Overall, while I do think the staff and doctors are nice and caring, I felt a bit neglected with the lack of communication and over-extended wait times. I have been a patient here for almost 10 years, but now I will consider switching to another optometry office.

I've been going to Custom Eyes for over 10 years. I've seen all three doctors there (Damani, May, Patel), and they're all great. The office staff has also been friendly and helpful. They're pretty much right on time for appointments and appointments aren't rushed - there is plenty of time to bring up any questions/concerns. I've also been able to schedule appointments same day/next day multiple times. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Damani (probably who I've seen the most here) and was reminded of how wonderful she is, inspiring this review. She's extremely personable and knowledgeable. During appointments, as she's reviewing past and current results, she thinks out loud. This has helped me learn much more about eye health, and I think it's fascinating! Over the years, my prescription has also improved, with her guidance to not wear my glasses when I don't need them and suggesting slightly weaker prescriptions than my actual. Overall, I can't recommend Custom Eyes enough!
