Dr. Shaneyfelt is very thorough in his examinations. His wife Penny is on top of everything dealing with insurance, fittings for glasses, and the entire minutiae of the business. Both are very friendly people with a love for Knightstown and their business neighbors. They are very warm people and you feel very relaxed and comfortable with your visit.
Dr. Shaneyfelt is great! I first came to see him in June of 22, and he was super careful and attentive. Came back this week for a checkup and to get a new prescription for glasses. Same attentive service as before. Penny, his wife and office manager, is delightful. I happily referred my spouse, who was equally pleased with the care and service.
Very friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled, Dr. Shaneyfelt has many years of experienced practice, he pulled two little pieces of embedded steel out of my cornea and then grinded the rust out/off of my eye with a micro drill that he called a "brush" just as calm & effortlessly as tying a shoe, including assessment, numbing eye drops, and scheduling a check-up it took only 20~30 mins and it was NOT rushed. He was informative.
I’m not sure if the owners wife was having a bad day but she was very off putting and non inviting when I came in to look at glasses with family. She acted as if we weren’t capable of putting the glasses back where we were picking them up from. Sorry but if I’m buying glasses I want to try them on. I’m old enough to know to put the glasses bsck where they came from. Customer service is definitely lacking.
We've been seeing Dr. Shaneyfelt for about 5 years now. He is wonderful to work with. I love the small, hometown feel of his office. I have 5 children. He let's us book back to back appointments and has us in and out in no time while still providing quality care. He is great with my kids. So patient in explaining every step. On a side note: he and his wife are also very involved in the community.
