Nice center but overwhelming. Very little signage to assist with lost patients! And few instructions for newbies. Staff was very kind and considerate.

I do not know where to start with this, but there was a very hostile environment that stemmed from lack of inclusivity and understanding. If you are of any minority group, please be wary of the nurses you speak to there. It isn't all of them, but a decent amount. My friend who is a man, was forced to take a pregnancy test and was referred to as a woman by the staff team and surgeon. His surgery got delayed for 2 hours, the first hour being the surgeon not showing up on time. The second hour was them essentially cornering my friend to doing this pregnancy test. In the middle of that unnecessary altercation, the anesthesiologist came out and said that surgery was cancelled when it wasn't. This obviously made me and other peer supporters distressed as this was an emergency surgery. When it was over he was crying, and none of us felt safe anymore. Infact, we were more concerned about my friends mental health than his literal physical health despite him suffering from retinal detachment in both eyes, which should be telling.
Went today for my 4th retina eye surgery. All the nurses are good, however Jackie is the best! Very attentive and humorous, and hears what the patient says. She's the best!
From the time we arrived, everything from the front desk reception to the dismissal of the patient (my mom)was extraordinary and very professional. Dr. Katzen and the staff were phenomenal. If you as the patient follow the booklet and read all the information given you will have a great experience. Every step is lined out and easy to follow. We have nothing but a big thanks to you all. You all have earned my gratitude and I have no problem in checking off a 5 star operation. Keep up the excellent work and procedures. Sincerely Sharon Riggs
HAD LEFT EYE CATARACT SURGERY SO FAR. HEALING TAKES ALONG TIME. UNABLE TO GET NEW EYE EXAM UNTIL AUGUST... I'M STILL GOING TO NEED GLASSES. NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT.
