Dr. Sami at Eagle Rock Optometry is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable about scleral lenses and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. She explained everything in detail, made sure I was comfortable, and really focused on getting the best fit and vision possible. You can tell she’s experienced and genuinely cares about her patients. Highly recommend if you need specialized eye care or scleral lenses.

Quality vision care started over the phone before I even arrived. So polite. Questions were welcomed and answered with honesty and transparency. Employees were competent, helpful, and patient when it was time to select frames. Attention and respect was paid with regard to my benefits and also my budget. The optometry exam was thorough and detailed. The optometrist listened carefully to my concerns and took time to explain important information, and also explained available options. It was obvious that these people WANTED to do their best, and they certainly did! By Cheryl Metz
I don't often write reviews, but this was far and away the best optometry experience I've ever had. I grew up going to Costco optometrists, who are focused on efficiency. Costco's doctors didn't really teach me much about my eyes or give clear advice on treatment options. Eagle Rock Optometry was different in basically every respect. Services received: - Eye exam — they offer two versions: One with dilation, one where they take pictures of your eyes. I chose the picture version, which is $39 out of pocket on top of the exam. This included scans, a VR peripheral vision test, and the typical comparative eye exam exercises. - Contact lens fitting — $100 out of pocket Dr. Sammy spent a while with me and drastically changed my previous prescription, recommending wearing a contact in only one eye. Gabi trained me very patiently on how to put in contacts, and Dr. Sammy's sister, Dr. Sepideh came to check in on me and see how it was going, and asked me questions about my lifestyle to help me determine whether to go with frames, dailies, or biweeklies. Gabi also worked out all of the math to show me how my costs would compare if I applied my vision insurance to frames or to contacts, because my insurance will only cover one, and both Dr. Sammy and Gabi recommended that I should apply the insurance to a good pair of backup frames because I'd ultimately save more money that way. They sent me home with daily and biweekly contacts to sample, along with solution and a case, while I trial the contact lenses to ultimately make a decision confidently. In all, my visit was 90 minutes and I felt they were paying very specific attention to me and my needs, rather than treating me like I could have been anyone. They were kind, clear, patient, and honest about costs up front. I currently live on the other side of the country, but from now on will plan on booking my routine eye exams here because the services were so good. Frame selection is also really nice. They have a solid mix of more fashion-forward brands than I've seen at any optometrist.
Easy process to book an appointment. I was seen on time and total process of appointment was quick and easy. Doctor was very knowledgeable and informative. When purchasing my glasses they explained everything in detail of what my insurance covers and what my out of pocket cost would be. They were able to order me a different color frames than what they had in stock too. Overall I’m very happy with my experience!
Definitely the best eye exam I’ve gotten. I’ve been using glasses as long as I can remember and I must say this place will be the only place I go to from now on for eyes. The doctors are very knowledgeable, and they are great at explaining and checking everything I was concerned about. They have a wide variety of frames and are very accommodating. Truly recommend.
