I received a pair of Meta glasses for my birthday and went to Stanton Optical to have prescription lenses put in them. I chose this location because I have had lenses replaced in smart glasses there before. Unfortunately, the employee assisting me seemed determined not to help. He initially told me they did not provide that service. When I explained that I had previously had smart-glasses lenses replaced there and already had an account, he first could not find my information—then mysteriously found it. Throughout the conversation, he repeatedly mentioned that his supervisor had left and that he needed to go to another store. While we were still speaking, I noticed him writing a sign saying, “I’ll be back in 30 minutes.” At that point, I left because it was obvious that he was more focused on leaving than assisting me. If the service is no longer offered, that could have been explained clearly and professionally. Instead, I was left feeling like the employee simply did not want to do his job or take the time to help me. This was disappointing, especially since I had successfully received this service at Stanton Optical in the past.
