I want to be fair, I think Dr. Chanes is a very good Opthamologist and came to leave a positive review. Daniel at the front desk has also been very helpful in coordinating my appointments and I have never had an issue with the date or time of my appointment being incorrect. I have however, like many others, experienced the incredibly long wait between my appointment time and when I was seen. I do not hold either of them responsible as this is clearly not in their control, however, this is a professional practice with highly competent physicians, that I believe genuinely care about the patients. I have received competent care and this facility has more advanced eye technology than most. They invested a lot of money and training time to get the most accurate readings in order to treat you properly. So I just don't understand why they have so much trouble honoring appointment times, greatly reducing the overall experience with a lack of administrative coordination and transparency. I would like to know before I arrive if I am going to be waiting 40 minutes past my appointment to be seen and would like to understand why no one seems to be in a hurry when you have waited patiently assuming that they were working hard but it was challenging to keep the pace. I have also waited much longer than anticipated when it was just myself and one other patient in the lobby. All other chairs empty and no one coming or going. Literally just the two of us. He was an older gentleman and I could tell he was not very comfortable in the lobby chair, so I was prepared to offer him my slot if they called me first but we were called at the same time, booked with 2 different people , yet w\e had the same experience. Honestly, I don't know why they do not consider patient time to hold much value and a simple fix would be to communicate before or when you arrive an honest and forthright that they are running way behind and your appointment time cannot be honored. i would highly respect that, over staring at my watch with no clue. These physicians deserve better and so do their patients.

I have been going to Dr Chanes at Eye Associates of Orange County for a few years now.. I was referred to him for Cataract Surgery. He’s did a great job. I wear no glasses other than sunglasses. Dr. Chances is Personable, funny, engaging, but most of all one of the Best Ophthalmologists ever. If you need to see an Eye Doctor, Thus is you guy! Thank You Dr Chanes.. my vision is incredible.

I am one of the patients of Dr. Chanes for more than 12 years . He is so knowledgeable and helpful 👌 Dr. Chanes did the cataract surgery for my two eyes very well . Great Front office staff, very polite, back office tech doing testing for Dr Great personality, explained everything in detail, very enjoyable to talk to. Dr. Was easygoing, thorough explained slight problem yet no need to do anything yet as very slight, vision hadn't changed much, did an excellent job at rest of testing and very personable. Loved the way I was treated in the office.

I am very impressed with Dr Chanes. He is such a friendly and approachable doctor. He stands out among the doctors I have encountered recently. My only complaint with this office are the very long wait times. Unless you have one of the first appointments of the day, you can expect at least a 30-minute or longer wait time beyond your scheduled appointment. Having said that, the entire staff is so friendly and personable, that it’s hard to be critical of them.
