Hello, I had cataract surgery in May. My doctor is Dr Cardinnelle. He and his staff are excellent. They are so experienced , everything just rolls right along. No problems they don’t know how to fix. I enjoyed the whole process. Oh and my vision is 20/20 without glasses. I’m happy.

I’m so grateful for the referral to Eye Associates! All the staff, including the drs. show care & concern. Staff are friendly & helpful. The care protocols are patient driven & very well organized. I feel safe in their care & encounter a wealth of experience. Now I see better than I have my whole adult life! Thank you for your friendly & professional care!
I recently had my first appointment with this Ophthalmologist following the retirement of my longtime eye doctor. I was hopeful about establishing a new relationship for my ongoing eye care. I felt disappointed, not because of anything dramatic, but because I did not feel welcomed, seen, or engaged. There was little eye contact or conversation. When asked about eye vitamins, I felt my question was quickly dismissed rather than explored. I was told to return in six months, but I left without a clear understanding of what he would be monitoring. I recognize that this may be his style of practicing medicine, and I am not intending to judge his competence or make him wrong. I am sharing my experience because the impact on me was significant. I want to feel that my doctor sees me as a person, listens to my questions, explains what he is seeing, and invites me to be a partner in my care. As an older adult, I found it especially difficult to leave feeling almost invisible. I hope this feedback can be received in the spirit in which it is offered: not as criticism, but as an honest reflection of what would help me-and perhaps others-feel more seen and cared for.
I love all the staff, both professional and administrative, at this (Ballard) location of EANW and have received great care. Yesterday was the first time after many years that they were very late in seeing me - 40 minutes of waiting. I forgive them based on their history but hope this doesn't happen to too many patients. If I wasn't retired I've have been pretty frustrated!
Dr. Lam is terrible and has the worst bedside manners! She is prickly and abrasive, super argumentative and lacks any gentleness or kindness when dealing with kids or their parents. For an 11:30 appt expect her to roll in after 12:40 with zero apologies. The organization is very chaotic lacks communication from provider to provider who are actually in the SAME office. The appts are not consistent with the provider and the records. Patient care both at the front end and back end are lacking on so many levels and it’s a shame especially because they work with patients every day, and don’t get me started with the call center—which is just as bad. Good luck being able to reach your provider. It’s been two years and Dr. Lam’s demeanor is still as salty as it was on the first visit which is awful especially when she works with kids. Our daughter has never felt comfortable with her and neither have we. We gave her the benefit of the doubt after the first visit, chalking it up to a possible bad day or maybe she was going through something— after all we are all human, but after each visit she is like an angry porcupine on the defensive and is even more unfriendly than the last appt. It is absolutely crazy how she just gets worse and worse. We would not recommend her or Eye Associates NW to anyone ever. Go elsewhere there is no oversight, kindness, or helpfulness here. It is clear they do not value their patients.
