Everybody was nice and everything but I owed tax on my glasses which was around 37.00 and I'm on SSI so I'm always flat broke except the day I'm paid and 2-3 days after it I'm lucky. Well my ins called them asking why I owed money and we had to BEG them to let me wear them home (the day they came in) they finally allowed it but my fiance got sick and put on the hospital and I got stuck out of town for months BUT CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME MY PRESCRIPTION until I pay and I believe folks that is called BLACKMAIL! Living on disability idls hell then you git folks like this making your life even worse people like this that wanna make you committ suicide!!!
Highly frustrating experience. The eye exam felt rushed, and the staff were not particularly personable. After ordering two pairs of glasses, I was told they would be ready in approximately two weeks. Several weeks later, I contacted the office and was informed that one pair had arrived but the sunglasses were delayed. I was told I would receive a call when the second pair arrived, but no one ever contacted me. After additional weeks passed, I began experiencing problems with the frames sitting crooked on my face and requiring constant adjustment. Eventually, the left lens began popping out of the frame. When I called to report the issue, the staff member repeatedly insisted there was nothing they could do if I simply did not like the frames. Despite correcting her multiple times and explaining that the issue was a defect, not a preference, the conversation went nowhere. I ultimately sent a complaint letter to EyeCare Associates' corporate office. Three to four weeks have now passed without any response. The irony is that these defective glasses are, by far, the most expensive frames I have ever purchased. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. Roughly 90 days after my appointment and only hours after posting this negative review I receive an email from eyewear associates containing an invoice for remaining balance of roughly $25. The breakdown they provided was not an accurate representation of the transaction and when I pointed that out they placed the burden of proof on me by requesting that I supply them with copies of my receipts. Seriously; save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs.
I will never be going to the Clanton office again. I have had nothing but issues since going to them. They never finalized my prescription so it was never uploaded to the patient portal. After being on hold for 20 minutes and then getting hung on, I had to call back again and they finally uploaded it to the portal. When I printed off my prescription to take to get new glasses, the electronic signature wasn't on it so I was unable to get glasses. When I called them back to get the electronic signature put on it, I was told that they are unable to do that and now I have to drag all three of my kids down to their physical office from Prattville because apparently that is the only way for me to get a signature on my prescription. Why even offer it electronically if they are unable to do it?! Why did they not print a copy for me from the start if they were unable to upload it correctly to the portal? I'm so angry. I highly suggest using a different office or eye doctor altogether.
Very friendly staff. Dr. Mullins was fantastic. The young lady that helped me with my glasses was an absolute 😇
