I've switched to Dr Levy's office a few years back and now all of my family comes here. Dr Michele Levy runs a professional and welcoming office. Everything is on time and everything is with a smile. Dr Levy takes her time and explains various options well. Her staff is excellent as well as patient. When my daughter started with contact lens, they really made her comfortable and worked with her until she was able to deal with the daily contacts on her own. Highly recommend!!!

Its been a few years since I've been to Dr. Michele Levy. At first it was a pleasant experience, as I was writing checks for quite a bit of money. I was told I needed glasses. I got them and they were fine for perhaps 10 months then I felt like I needed a different Rx. This is when she changed. She was patient with me but then got annoyed as no matter what she had me look through, it still wasn't clear or I didn't see any difference. She ordered a new Rx. When I went to the office (which she charged my insurance for....even just picking up glasses...she charges the insurance company as a visit!) to pick up my new glasses, it was like looking through a bottle. Her exact words were, "wear them for two weeks even if you're throwing up". She began to be extremely rude, charged my insurance for visits that didn't exist and its taken me this long to be able to write a review as it was THAT upsetting. I ended up having to pay for all of those "visits" as to not have to go back and forth with her. She's awful. In addition, she told my child that she needed glasses, she does not. I went to NYC to three different specialist, all said I do NOT need glasses. She certainly got her money out of us. Scam artist at its finest. Find someone else.

I recently had a pre-screening test and bought glasses from Dr. Levy. It was a GREAT experience!! The staff was very friendly and helpful--not pushy at all. It's only been two weeks but I am very happy with the quality of my glasses and will recommend Dr. Levy to my friends.

I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about! I've been seeing Dr. Levy for years, have recommended her to friends and everyone has been happy with her and her service. There ARE, as in any Dr. office, additional tests they can run, etc. All of those are given to you as a choice. One is a retinal scan. It is an easy test to ensure that, each year, when you return, the retina looks the same and it is in the same place--so she has something to compare it to. For us, it was worth it. To another person, I could see rejecting it. But the choice was right up front. Anyway, the only complaint we ever had is also the main compliment. Dr. Levy gives time to her patients. It is the BEST when you have an issue, as I have an autoimmune condition, and it is annoying when you are waiting to get in so you can get out. But that is not necessarily a negative thing nor do I consider it enough to merit the grades I've seen on here. Something's not right with these other reviews.

0 stars!! Absolute ripoff. RUN DON'T WALK away from this place. Upcharges, deceit. If only I had read reviews first, but did not - chose based on location. First, I'm asked if I wanted to get eyes dilated or pay $80 extra not covered by insurance but then Oksana the office mgr added that paying extra is like upgrading to have a better mammogram!! Of course, that leads to a yes, which is manipulation. I've never had to pay extra to not be dilated and I've been going to eye drs for more than 30 years. At the end, they tried very hard to get me to buy new glasses, even though I wear contacts. I had to say no I don't want glasses several times. They even threw my contacts away that I removed for the exam. Didn't even give an option - just tossed them. Total lack of courtesy. The minute I got home I called and demanded my $80 back, as they didn't do anything for the $80, and that I would call insurance and my credit card company and complain. Oksana's response? "Are you threatening me?" Bad business practice! Do not go to these people! There are PLENTY of other optometrists just about anywhere.
