I am so conflicted about this location. The Dr’s I have seen are wonderful and thorough. The eye glass techs are nice but I guess not very good at measuring for glasses. I got my glasses 6 months ago. They are progressive lenses and from the start the glasses were not very helpful. I told the tech and she said it takes time to get used to. She said if after a few weeks to a month I am still having issues to come back. I went back 2 weeks later and the tech made a small adjustment to the nose pads and said try again. No one ever looked at where the prescription was in the lens. Over the next few months I thought maybe my eye sight was getting worse. At my next appointment which was 6 months later and the dr told me I’m having issues because the prescription is too low in the lens's, pretty much at the bottom so more or less useless. Well now they tell me I have to wait 6 more months till I’m eligible for lenses or pay the full price to replace them. So either way their error means I can’t see for 6 more months and I’m gonna have to pay for their mistake. If done correctly I would not need new lenses at all since my eyes have not changed. They told me now if I came back within the first month they could have fixed it but the tech told me it can take a month to adjust. It would have been nice to know 6 months ago that I had 30 days. In the last 2 years I have bought 4 pairs of glasses there between me and my daughter spending a few thousand on glasses. It’s too bad because I really like Dr Marlin. But I probably won’t go back. All I got was an oops sorry don’t know what to tell you, not an apology or anything.

Posting for transparency. My husband and I have been going to this clinic since Dr. Forzley owned it. After the office was taken over by new management, we were optimistic & even had a good experience in January 2025. I have even left a review previously about how wonderful this office is. Fast forward to now: At my recent visit it became very apparent that the previous family feel is gone. It really is a shame because the doctors are great (Dr. Flora is a 10/10 provider). After being told about price matching for contacts, we were told our price match wouldn't be accepted... okay, no problem, we can order the contacts at a different place... It's not personal, so why would we want to pay a lot more than what we need to? Well, if you don't order contacts through them, they won't give you a week’s worth of trials to get you through until the new prescription is delivered (mind you I only ran out because I used my year supply and couldn’t make an appointment until 1 year from my last visit date due to insurance). This information would've been annoying, but fine EXCEPT for the fact that the man delivering the information could clearly not care less about customer service and hardly had time to even give us as he was talking and walking away at the same time. He was stuck on "we have a guaranteed rebate"... well, I can get a better price elsewhere without the rebate... I wear daily contacts so will need to instead recycle my dailies while I wait for my new prescription to arrive. If you want a great doctor, nice tech & nice woman at check out, just be aware that it comes with the price of poor management and a rude manager.
We’ve trusted Dr. Forzley with our eye care for over 10 years, but decided to give Eye Care Specialists a try. While the optometrist was knowledgeable and professional- the experience with the office staff and ordering process was extremely disappointing. The assistant manager was unhelpful, and no resolution was offered after an error resulted in us paying $269 more than expected. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we won’t be returning. It’s disappointing that Dr. Forzley’s long-time patients are met with such subpar service.
First visit to EyeCare Specialties after they took over Forzely was in July 2025. I just updated my lenses and paid 404.40 after insurance at the time I ordered them. Yesterday, May 2026, I get a bill for 423.00!! Almost a year later! Called the office to tell them I paid for my lenses already. The office rep Deshawn looked at my records and told me I still owe 423. The total for the lenses was 1114.00. Discount was 384.00. Insurance allowance was 480.00 and they paid 110. Which leaves me with my paid payment of 359.40. All Deshawn could say was he didn’t know why it was billed like that because he didn’t work there last year. Big ripoff and terrible management and customer service. And by the way, telling someone to calm down is a convenient way of not helping them and very dismissive.
Took my boys to see Dr Flora 2 weeks ago. Love him he’s the best and would always continue to see him for eye exams. Ordered glasses for the boys and I have called at the beginning of the week and 2 times today 3/12/26 and there isn’t any option to speak to someone in Optical. You have to hit “2” for contacts or staff. Well I have left messages and no returned phone call. As far as I’m concerned that’s bad customer service that they can’t even return a phone call to say yes they are in or no they aren’t. If the front desk is that busy they should have an option on the answering machine for Optical so we can speak directly with them. Maybe now since I left this review of bad customer service if not a returned call after trying multiple times I’ll get a phone call.
