I had such a great experience at this office from start to finish. The front desk ladies were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in. Her assistant was kind, professional, and very attentive throughout the visit. The doctor herself is amazing! Very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, personable and genuinely caring. She took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel like my concerns truly mattered, not to mention my wait time was literally less than a minute before the doctor came in! It’s hard to find a medical office where every single person is so pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent eye care!

I recently visited Eye Society Houston, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! After my longtime eye doctor closed his office, I was searching for a new provider and decided to try Eye Society since they’re conveniently located near where I go to pilates. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the amazing customer service and the beautiful, inviting space filled with natural light and a peaceful, zen atmosphere. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable, making the check-in process seamless. Dr. Katherine performed my eye exam, and she was incredibly professional, thorough, and attentive. She provided me with a great prescription for my glasses and also diagnosed me with dry eye syndrome, something I had never realized I had. I truly appreciate her expertise and the treatment plan she recommended to help manage it. The eyewear selection at Eye Society is fantastic, and I found the perfect Celine prescription sunglasses. The turnaround time was reasonable, and I was thrilled with the final product, they're absolutely gorgeous and I'm so happy with my new pair of shades! Overall, this was an exceptional experience, and I’m so grateful to have found my new go-to eye care provider. Highly recommend Eye Society Houston to anyone looking for top-notch eye care and stylish eyewear!
5/5/2026 - Dr. Tran is short and full of energy but she does a great job. My new Armani glasses 👓 just arrived and they are the best glasses I’ve ever owned for fit, comfort and clarity. (Bought through my company). Excellent exam! Dr. Nguyen is short, fun and thorough. Ham-bone is her dog who loves to sniff you and grunt. My right eye had been bothering me but all good news for now. I am glad I found this place in the Heights. Tried scheduling somewhere else but they didn’t get back to me. But Eye Society was great! I recommend them if you’re looking for an eye doctor in the Heights.
I am always treated so well when I visit for my appointments. Dr. Than and her staff make you feel right at home and give great information. I look forward to every visit!
It’s weird because there’s so many good reviews so when I have a bad experience I feel confused. But, I highly wouldn’t recommend if you have a high prescription and need glasses/contacts to function. They didn’t give me good advice on the frame (I asked if the frame would look weird with a high prescription- the answer was no, but when I got it I looked horrible, not sure if there’s an actual optician there), when I got the glasses my prescription was all weird and mentioned it to them but they told me to give it a couple weeks (it was manageable so I just kept them), they mentioned I was going to get more of a rebate on my contacts than I actually was able to get and suggested I buy a year supply instead of 6 months - I found out after the fact they gave me outdated rebate info and that’s what I made a decision off of, when my hand accidentally squished my glasses and I took it to them to help me fix it they said they could fix it in house - when I got it back I mentioned everything is warped to the point I can’t function and couldn’t see through the glasses and it was just silence. I was charged a ridiculous price for an unnecessary follow up appointment they suggested I book for pink eye. Overall, I feel scammed considering I haven’t had an issue with an eye doctor office in 25 years. Some good things are fast appointments, the eye doctor is respectful and personable, and the front office is respectful, just extremely unhelpful if you have a real problem like you can’t see through $700 glasses you bought from them. They also called unprompted months after appointments I had for pink eye and said they would refund me because they took money from me and the insurance, but I had to call them back because I never actually got it, and still haven’t but apparently it’ll be back in a couple days. Hope this helps someone save money and time.
