My experience with Dr. Karie Holloway and the entire team at Eye Studio Peoria was exceptional from start to finish. I’ve had eye exams for many years, but this was by far the most educational and personalized exam I’ve ever received. Dr. Holloway took the time to explain every step of the examination and helped me understand my vision in a way no previous provider had. Rather than simply telling me my prescription had changed, she explained why and what it meant for my day-to-day vision. I also have Goldenhar syndrome, which presents some unique challenges when selecting and fitting eyewear. Dr. Holloway took the time to understand my medical history and thoughtfully recommended lenses and frame options that were appropriate for my specific needs instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. One thing that really stood out was the amount of time she spent helping me select the right frame. I had been researching premium LINDBERG frames for quite some time but wasn’t completely sure which model would fit me best. Dr. Holloway carefully evaluated several options, explained the differences, and ultimately recommended the LINDBERG Morten—the very same model I had independently been considering after doing extensive research. Her recommendation gave me the confidence to move forward, and I’m extremely happy with the result. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent about pricing and my EyeMed benefits. At no point did I feel pressured into upgrades or unnecessary purchases. Instead, they helped me understand the options so I could make informed decisions. Since my appointment, I’ve recommended Eye Studio Peoria to family members. After bringing my mother to Visionworks and comparing the experiences, it only reinforced how much more personalized, thorough, and patient-focused my experience with Dr. Holloway and her team was. The visit was on June 3rd. 2026, Dr. Holloway took the time to thoroughly explain my examination results and all abnormal findings. Thanks to her use of advanced technology, my retina was examined without dilation, allowing me to return to work immediately. The patient clinic staff was incredibly helpful, even assisting me in finding the perfect pair of frames. Dr. Holloway also personally helped with the prior authorization process to ensure my insurance covered my eye drops quickly. To top it off, the staff promptly notified me when my reading glasses arrived, and Dr. Holloway even sent a thoughtful thank-you postcard. I'm very satisfied.

Night and day experience! I’ve been going to a large chain in town for years and my experience here was leaps and bounds better. Dr Holloway’s communication style was so resonant. The perfect balance of informative, without being overwhelming, and patient. Her office had all the new technology - it had me feeling like I was living in the future! Her office was also very clean with a good selection of lens styles. Best of all, she was able to replace my scratched up lenses on the spot!! No regrets by trying out a new eye studio and I loved supporting a small, woman-owned business. Highly recommend her for the whole family!

Wow. The most thorough and knowledgeable eye exam I’ve ever had. Dr. Holloway truly cared about finding the most exact prescription for my eyes- when most doctors I’ve seen spend two minutes and send me on my way. She helped me with some preventative measures for issues I had been having, as well as contacts that better fit the shape of my eye. Never in my 30 years of contacts has someone recommended a different brand for me based on the shape of the contact. I’m so impressed with the quality of care, presence, knowledge, and attention to detail. Highly recommend!!

The office is beautiful. I was greeted by 2 lovely ladies. They were pleasant and helpful. Dr Holloway was one of the better optomotrists I have ever been to.
