Dr Cooper is such a fantastic doctor, I have been seeing him for many years and he always knows just how to solve any eye issue I have experienced. The staff is kind and courteous and the office is well located and maintained! Best eye care in the San Diego area!

I am only putting two starts because the Front desk staff was great, 5 starts. Unfortunately the doctor himself was terrible. I feel like I was gas lit by him during the exam. He would ask me “1 or 2” I would tell him which number it was then he would tell me no that’s “2” or no that’s “1”. He clearly got frustrated and angry with me. I listened very carefully to him in effort to make it an easy exam but this happened around 20 times, he literally was convincing me I was crazy. How hard is it to count and communicate effectively with a patient? I have never had this confusing of an experience getting an eye exam before. It makes me wonder if there are others he’s done this to. I would never go back to this doctor and i’ll be lucky if my prescription is accurate at all. Think twice before going to this doctor and if you’re a woman do not go alone. Edit: Changing to one star because Ariel is also extremely rude and gave me an attitude and raised her voice at me when i went to pick up my glasses because I was asking questions about them. 👎
I have always found the staff to be courteous and professional. I was a little disappointed after my exam to find out that the entire staff to help you with glasses was in a meeting for an hour. As with a lot of people, I couldn’t stay or come back- I needed to get to work. And now I have to find another time to come and look at glasses. If you are going to hold a meeting with your staff, that will take everybody off/out of servicing your clients then it should be done during a time when you’re not seeing patients. Being in healthcare myself this is only common sense.
Everyone was great! Dr cooper was professional and courteous. He thoroughly explained everything. From the moment I entered the facility to leaving, I was treated respectfully by every staff member I was in contact with during my visit. Thank you.
We both had our first appointment at Eyelux Optometry—the receptionist was helpful and efficient, the technician was patient with some special needs, and Dr. Cooper did a thorough and highly skilled evaluation of each of our vision issues— even offering to pursue more information and get back with a referral. Above and beyond expectations!
