Love this professional shop just around the corner from our house. Eye exam done for another year and a great selection of current eyeglass frames. Easy to order plus they gave me a senior discount and a birthday coupon to apply to the eyeglass order; makes it affordable. So nice!

I do not read reviews before I try a new business and I do not write reviews after. Both of these practices will change for me after my experience with this business. My experience with this business was negative from the moment I walked in. The red flags for me were blatant and I wish now I had walked out right away. My eye check up was good and thorough. From there it went downhill quickly. The person who helped me initially was so disengaged from helping me choose my new frames, I could tell quickly that I was wasting her time. Much more detail to share but it is long and detailed. In a nutshell, after 8 weeks of waiting and numerous phone calls, by me, with my phone calls not returned, I received a refund and my prescription. This was after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would not recommend this business or Cottage Grove Eye at all. I dealt with both and the one constant from both locations is that the customer service was the same. Poor. Choose wisely consumer.

I went to Eyes of Mendota 2 years ago under the previous ownership and management and it was terrible. Truly. Had no intention of ever going back. Then I got a call from the new staff earlier this year informing me of new ownership and management. Decided to give it another try because the location was convenient to my workplace. LOVED IT. So glad I did! The optician was so personable and great and found something that 10 years of other opticians did not! The staff there was so sweet and helpful and made me feel valued which is a rare trait these days as customer service is a dying art. I am so glad I gave them another try! One of the best eye appointments I have had in years!

I am updating my last review after my most recent exam - they are still a great place and I recommend them again. I have gone to Eyes of Mendota for frames and lenses for 5 years. I have gone for exams for the past two years. The staff is professional and answers all questions. I recommend them without reservation.

Staff was very friendly and professional. I worked with Alissa to find some new sunglasses. She took the time to help me try on multiple pairs and helped me find the best pair. You don't see that now a days if you go here I would highly recommend working with her!
