Their lack of customer service is extraordinary. If you ever want to feel unimportant, this is your place. 2 years ago, I bought glasses and when they came in 3 weeks later the prescription was wrong. The optician on staff examined the and concluded Dr. Agnew had made a mistake. They were sent back to the lab and came back OK. They never worked properly but, upon my next exam, Dr. Agnew informed me I wasn’t using them properly. Whatever. Despite my misgiving, on 11/7/2026 Dr. Agnew convinced me to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses because “it would be a shame to waste the $200 your insurance allows for frames.” I bit and paid and waited 4 weeks for them to arrive. Surprise! The prescription was wrong! They sent them back to the lab and after another 4 weeks and multiple calls from me the glasses arrived. They were worse than the first time! Out of frustration and a complete lack of confidence in Dr. Agnew and her optician I asked for a refund so that I could move on. They refused. So, here I sit 4 months and many mistakes by Eye Wares they still have my money and I still do not have glasses! Oh, and don’t be surprised if you have to beg and ask multiple times to get a copy of your prescription. I guess they hold them hostage in hopes you will buy their overpriced frames. You don’t know me, but trust me you do not want to get an exam or buy glasses from Eye Wares and Dr. Agnew. Update 3/21/2026. Still no glasses and still no refund! I guess the next step is to report them to the Board of Optometry. Sad.

omg I came in to get some Cartier glasses and was helped by the most patient suggestive selling employee ever !! I came in about 10 min before close and she wasn’t rushing my purchase or anything !! If ever looking for new frames sunglasses contacts or what ever make sure you stop by the magazine st location an ask for Alayna !!!!!
The store has a great selection of modern styles that we were looking for. We tried on glasses at our pace. The young lady who helped us was most personable, located the lenses needed that were in stock, and had the glasses ready the next morning. Awesome service.
The best eye care Doctor in New Orleans. The office is high tech with all of the latest equipment, the staff is very accommodating and the showroom is simply gorgeous. I look forward to going there 2 times a year once for the exam and another to pick up my new glasses.
My husband and I dropped by the Magazine Store last Saturday. We both had glasses that needed adjusting. The staff was so friendly and helpful and adjusted both pair. Now they fit great!
